Financial Analyst, Ipas Indonesia-Jakarta

  Overview:

Under the supervision of the Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst (FA) coordinates the financial/accounting operations and is responsible for ensuring the fiscal well-being of assigned projects and the organization. The FA guides the Ipas Indonesia country program in the areas of budgeting, monitoring spending, efficiently managing time and costs, ensuring award compliance, and risk mitigation. The FA has excellent analytical, communication and collaboration skills, an attention to detail, and a passion towards the organization’s mission.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the day-to-day general ledger accounting and reconciliation, payment date accounting, and financial reporting and analysis
• Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analysis
• Analyze and interpret financial data for the purpose of determining financial performance and projecting financial probability; perform labor analysis and revenue analysis
• Support the preparation and management of the Ipas Indonesia annual operating budget
• Support the Finance Manager in roll-out of financial policies and procedures for the country program; assist in training and capacity building efforts
• Ensure timely and accurate donor billing and reporting in collaboration with Finance Manager
• Prepare and manage proposal budgets in response to new funding opportunities as needed
• Recognize, investigate, escalate and coordinate responses to financial performance issues
• Analyze actual and projected expenses against direct program costs to predict annual overhead rate for effective management of resources
• Compile and prepare financial reports

Requirements:

Minimum
• Bachelor's Degree or its International Equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or Related Field
• 5+ Years of progressively responsible accounting, finance and operational management experience
• Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
• Proficient knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Internal Control Fundamentals
• Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills including pivot tables
• Demonstrated project and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret data, identify/resolve errors and prepare reports
• Ability to collaborate and work well with others
• Ability to manage multiple projects and activities
 
Preferred
• Demonstrated team leadership experience in finance, auditing or accounting department
