Request for Proposal to Conduct a Supervision and Support Training of Health Center Staff on the Zinc and ORS for addressing Childhood Diarrhea in Banten and West Java

The Micronutrient Initiative (MI) is an international Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to ensuring that the world’s most vurnerables – especially women
and children in developing countries – get
the vitamins and minerals they need to survive and thrive. With headquarters
in Ottawa, Canada MI maintains regional offices in New Delhi, India and Dakar,
Senegal that manages our country offices in Asia and Africa.
MI plans to replicate the elements of
the processes which have worked to improve coverage and adherence of zinc and
ORS in childhood diarrhea treatment across the Banten and West Java provinces. A cascade training from central to provincial and district level was completed in November 2016 with support from MI. In
January to February 2017, a supervision and support
training for the frontline health workers in 105 out of 1,240 Puskesmas in the 35 districts in West Java (27
districts) and Banten Provinces (8 districts) was also
conducted.
Based on the positive outcomes during the previous supervision and support trainings supported by MI, the PHOs have requested MI to support another batch of supportive supervision training to reach remaining Puskesmas in Banten and
West Java province.

The duration of
contract will be 8 weeks and the activities will be conducted during October to November 2017.
