Background:
MSF is Médecins Sans Frontières /Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is an international independent humanitarian medical organization which aims to deliver emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare, offering assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation and whose actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of neutrality and impartiality as stated out in the MSF Charter.
 
Médecins Sans Frontières are now seeking for its Banten Project a highly qualified candidate to fill in the position of:  Medical Activity Manager
 
Main Responsibility
    • Supervising and monitoring the medical activities under his/her responsibility according to, National standards in line with MSF standards and procedures in order to ensure the delivery of quality medical care for adolescent patients and their communities as well as to improve the health condition of the target population.
    • Liaise with MoH counterparts on daily activity scheduling and management in collaboration with the project coordinator. 
    • Actively participates in the training sessions done by the team under his/her supervision and ensuring the quality of training and transfer of knowledge of the staff.
    • Ensuring timely monitoring, evaluation and feedback on the training and technical supervisions of health staffs under his/her responsibility. 
    • Ensuring that identification of potential community groups that has the potential to assist in the project activities is done.
    • Ensuring in-depth analysis of the community together with the HP officer on health gaps, health seeking behavior and traditional beliefs and culture.
    • Ensuring the smooth running of the MSF youth corner respecting the safety and confidentiality of the youth.
    • Ensure proper Stock management of MSF medical supplies is in place in collaboration with the mission pharmacy.
    • Ensure Medical data is collected and analyzed in collaboration with the data entry officer as well as ensuring support to counterparts on medical data management.
    • Organize teams (schedules/rosters) both in collaboration with MoH and in line with activity planning schedules.  
    • Contribute to content development of assessments, trainings, activities, medical forms and reports in collaboration with the project coordinator and the mission coordination team.

       



Tasks and responsibilities

    • Coordinating, assessing and supervising the proper functioning of the medical activities in line with the adolescent programs in Carita and Labuan in accordance to the national standard and in line with MSF standards and procedures.
    • Actively participate in the definition of annual planning and budget for the project and in the follow up of the programs.
    • Supervising and ensuring that medical activities objectives under his/her responsibility are achieved, reporting to the Project Medical referent for any problem arising in the service.
    • Supervise and Assist in preparing the medical orders needed to implement the medical activities under his/her responsibility, and identifying and reporting to the PMR/FC, non-medical support needs (material, infrastructure, transport, etc.)
    • Coordinating and monitoring the daily working plan of the team under his/her responsibility.
    • Planning and supervising, in close coordination with the HR department, the associated processes (recruitment, training, performance evaluation, development and internal communication) of the staff under his/her responsibility in order to improve staff capabilities and to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required

Requirements
 
 
Education
Medical doctor or paramedical degree.
Experience
Minimum 7  years previous experience in similar jobs in the field and/or in a humanitarian agencies or other NGOs,Desirable experience in primary health care system and community works
Languages             
Proficiency in English is a must
Knowledge of other local language is desirable (aside from Bahasa Indonesia)

Knowledge
Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet)
