Partnerships Manager (Based in Jakarta)


DAI Global, LLC seeks a Partnerships Manager for USAID’s Flagship Maternal and Child Health Program, based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Flagship Maternal and Newborn Health (MNH) Activity promotes the development of locally led solutions to prevent maternal and newborn deaths and extend essential health services to remote and impoverished areas. 
The Partnerships Manager will support the Partnerships Director by bringing together regional stakeholders from the public and private sectors to deliver local MNH solutions. Together, they will identify thought leaders, industry experts, and other key actors through stakeholder and systems mapping to establish a management body. This management body will provide guidance, quality assurance, and local ownership to Flagship MNH Activity’s partnerships, investments, and co-creation processes across all 10 provinces.

Responsibilities:
-       Identify and engage a mix of diverse partners to develop and scale local solutions; and provide leadership and support in mobilizing consultants, vendors, subcontractors, resource partners and long-term project staff.  
-       Prepare and establish partnership agreements;
-       Under the guidance of the Partnerships Director, deploy regional technical assistance support co-defining, co-creating, and co-financing local solutions to bring impacts to scale;
-       Work with local public and private actors to identify needs for technical assistance;
-       Engage project partners to foster a “crowding in” of local capacity, not replacing it, to ensure that solutions are locally owned;
-       Assist the MERL team in the monitoring templates to track the timeliness of TA, quality in meeting the needs of partnerships, and contributions to MNH outcomes;
-       Map the field of experts and organizations to build a database of top performers that can be tapped quickly for project needs;
-       Make sure that scopes of work for contractors are clear in the deliverables and time frames and integrate performance based milestones where possible.

Qualifications:
  • Experience with open innovation, “design thinking”, collaborative ideation, co-creation, adaptive program management, human-centered design, prize/challenge funds and general innovation programming;
  • Excellent verbal, written and public speaking experience, as well as highly developed interpersonal skills;
·       Experience working with government, NGOs, donors, and other relevant stakeholders;
  • Ability to interact with all levels of business executives, community groups, civic leaders and other individuals to promote the organization;
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with different partners, collaborators, and clients to ensure coordinated implementation of project activities and represent DAI;
  • Experience working on or with USAID programs strongly preferred.
  • BA or master’s degree with 5-8 years of relevant work experience, with a degree in Public Health, Design, Business, Public Affairs, Communications or a relevant field.
  • Extensive knowledge of maternal and child health issues highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in complex environments with multiple tasks, competing priorities, and short deadlines.
