Vision for Indonesia
Oxfam Indonesia has the vision that people in Indonesia will live
equitably and free from injustice of poverty, enjoy their rights, and are
resilient in times of disasters. By 2020, 2.5 million women and men in
Indonesia are empowered to overcome poverty, vulnerability and inequality.
Oxfam is implementing a project entitled: Implementing Behind the Brand in
Indonesia and we are recruiting Private Sector Development Coordinator
position under Oxfam one programme approach with a real commitment to
gender equality and International aid and development background. This
post will be based in Jakarta for fixed term contract 12 months with
possible extension.
* Private Sector Development Coordinator (code: PSD Coord)
JOB PURPOSE:
Private Sector Development Coordinator has responsibility to manage the
implementation of activities under the Behind the Brand (BtB) Pilot
project and provide technical assistance to other projects in country
related to private sector development. This position will have a direct
report to Business Development Director.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing the implementation of deliverables of the BtB Pilot Project in
Indonesia
Providing technical assistance to other project in country regarding to
private sector development and corporate engagement in Indonesia
Developing concept note and/or proposal to respond to call related to
private sector development
Analyzing the workable strategy to strengthen capacity of project team in
Indonesia to collaborate, influence, and engage with private sectors
Providing update to country team about the latest context and trend
regarding to private sector development in Indonesia
Conducting research and field data collection regarding to private sector
in Indonesia
Managing budget and schedule of the BtB project
Documenting progress of the implementation of the BtB Project and
communicating the progress to line manager
Preparing communication materials based on the latest progress of the BtB
to keep all stakeholders updated about the project implementation
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Comprehensive skills and experience in private sector related project in
Indonesia
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with private sector and
business in Indonesia
Familiar with policies about private sectors and their significant role in
development
Having adequate skills and knowledge in project management, including
result-based management
Having good writing skills and proven experience in concept note and/or
proposal development related to private sector
Having previous experience working in international NGO
Experience with financial management and administration.
Computer literacy particularly MS office and e-mail use.
Ability to work collaboratively both within and between
organisations/trade unions.
Willingness to travel frequently within countries and overseas.
Experience with facilitating or organizing training.
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesian. Able to translate and interpret
between these languages at an intermediate level.
Patience, tolerance and ability to work constructively and sensitively
with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
Ability to work on own initiatives, manage complex workloads and deliver
outputs in accordance with agreed deadlines
Commitment to Oxfam’s development philosophy, principles, and objectives,
