DAI Global,
LLC seeks a Knowledge Management (KM) Specialist for USAID’s Flagship Maternal
and Child Health Program—titled Jalin—based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Jalin will promote
the development of locally led solutions to prevent maternal and newborn deaths
and extend access to essential health services to the most vulnerable. KM has been defined as “an intentional
process that includes identifying the knowledge needs of a particular audience
and then generating, curating, and sharing relevant knowledge to help programs
and organizations succeed”. The KM Specialist
will develop and lead the design and implementation of Jalin’s KM strategy.
The KM Specialist
will be responsible for the ongoing capture, packaging and dissemination of
learning outputs. The KM Specialist will use a mix of social science tools and
new learning approaches to assist the project and a broad range of stakeholders
understand the evolution and the outcomes of an approach to improve maternal
and neonatal health in Indonesia over a sustained period of time retrospectively
and in real-time going forward.
Specific responsibilities include:

Creating and leading a strategy for a comprehensive
KM activity that supports host organizations to develop and deliver user-centered
information across a broad range of stakeholders;
·
Managing KM partners to collect,
publish and promote for maximal impact existing knowledge products, such as
blogs, stories, websites, intranets, videos, social media strategies and
messages, webinars, events, and relevant and engaging materials related to
maternal and neonatal health;
·
Collecting and sharing lessons learned,
best practices and proven innovations in program design, implementation,
monitoring and reporting as well as other Jalin business processes from internal
Jalin activities;
·
Support Jalin project staff to develop,
edit, and produce materials on innovations, evidence-based lessons learned, and
best practices, ensuring that all materials produced in audience-specific
formats;
·
Facilitating, with KM partners,
communities of practice of thought leaders at the government, business, provider,
academia and civil society levels;
·
Supporting further engagement and
investment for maternal and neonatal health in Indonesia through winning
“hearts and minds” and reaching nontraditional actors through strategic media outlets;
and
·
Being entrepreneurial to identify new
and unique opportunities to promote maternal and neonatal health best practices
through emerging communications channels.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in communications,
English, journalism, public health, or related disciplines required. Master’s
degree preferred.

At least ten years of related
experience in KM, marketing, documentation, dissemination, or similar work;
·

·
Experience working in political
campaigns, advocacy campaigns, private sector marketing and outreach a plus;
·
Experience using both qualitative and
quantitative methods, such as media content analyses, stakeholder and issues
mappings, market assessments, perception/stakeholder audits, and communications
audits.

Demonstrated excellence in writing and
editing in English;
·
Previous exposure and experience in
developing, implementing, and monitoring dissemination plans for knowledge
products highly preferred;
·
Knowledge of maternal and newborn health
issues desirable;
·
Proficiency with state-of-the-art
methodologies/technologies for disseminating information;
·
Experience working with government,
NGOs, donors, and other relevant stakeholders;
·
Ability to work in complex environments
with multiple tasks, competing priorities, and short deadlines.
