Australia Awards in Indonesia is managed by Coffey on behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). Long Term Awards are a capacity building tool to meet Australia Awards in Indonesia outcomes of developing participants' knowledge, skills and attitudes to contribute positively in their professional fields and communities, to develop links with Australians, Australian organisations, other alumni and agencies in Indonesia as well as to ensure that the participants view Australia in a positive light.
To contribute to the Australia Awards in Indonesia, Coffey is currently seeking applications for Awards Cycle Senior Manager to be based (full-time) in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Position
The Awards Cycle Senior Manager will work under the direction of the Deputy Program Director to ensure overall quality delivery of Australia Awards Long Term Awards and leadership of the Long Term Awards team. This will include managing and overseeing the work of Long Term Awards team across all phases of the Long Term Awards cycle, from stakeholder consultation, identification of opportunities, managing course design processes, developing course work plans and budgets, managing the administration of tenders, leading the process of participant selection, and monitoring and reporting on course implementation.
The Senior Manager will provide supervision and mentoring to the Long Term Awards Managers, Coordinator and Officers, as well as Targeting and Scoping Managers and coordinator, to ensure the effective application and allocation of resources for the delivery of Long Term Awards and Targeting and Scoping activities
The Person
To be considered for this role you will have minimum of five years' demonstrated senior level experience in project management in an international development context; experience in high level representation and negotiation; planning and budgeting; reporting, monitoring and evaluation; as well as supervising and mentoring staff. Besides having high level proficiency in spoken, written English and Indonesian, you will need to have good knowledge of Government of Indonesia (GoI) systems and agencies and understanding of the Australian higher education sector.
