Key Purpose of the Job
Tiger Protection Coordinator will assist the Tiger Conservation Project Manager in coordinating the Tiger Protection and Patrol Units (TPPUs) operating in ZSL Indonesia’s areas of operation (Berbak & Sembilang National Parks and the Dangku Wildlife Reserve) and the Human Tiger Conflict (HTC) Teams operating across the Berbak, Sembilang and Dangku landscapes.

Main Responsibilities
1. In collaboration with Ministry of Environment & Forestry (MoEF), establish and coordinate the
TPPUs and HTC teams especially with regards to tackling Human-Wildlife conflict situations
around the three protected areas.
2. Responsible for updating and maintaining databases and administration systems, ensuring
accuracy of inputting and reports.
3. Communicate with relevant stakeholders at both regional and national levels.
4. Ensure the achievement of project activities and high performance in accordance with the
project work plan.
5. Provide monthly reports to the Tiger Conservation Project Manager.

1. Minimum Bachelor degree in Biology and Forestry, Animal Health Paramedic and/or other
related field with equivalent experience
2. Extensive experience in wildlife conservation or a closely related area
3. Minimum 7 years’ successful experience working in similar position with an
international NGO.
4. Self-motivated and resourceful, with the proven ability to multi-task and operate
successfully under tight deadlines and time pressures.
5. Prior experience in managing and developing a team
