Vacancy at Ipas: Health Systems Officer (for Indonesian nationality only)

Ipas is a global nongovernmental organization dedicated to ending preventable deaths and disabilities from unsafe abortion. Abiding to the local regulations in each country, Ipas works to ensure that women can obtain safe, respectful and comprehensive reproductive health care, including comprehensive post abortion care with counseling and contraception to prevent future unintended pregnancies. 


We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Health Systems (HS) Officer, based in Jakarta. Position open for Indonesian nationality only.

The Health Systems (HS) Officer collaborates with Field Coordinators and Community Access Officers and other implementing partners to ensure good as well as strengthen the delivery of SRHR services including contraceptives and Comprehensive Post Abortion Care service delivery in country through facility upgrades, provider trainings, trainee mentorship and data collection and donor reporting. S/He also provides technical assistance in planning and program implementation, training, logistical support and service delivery strategies.

This position reports to Health System Strengthening Advisor.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and organizing facility assessment and upgrades including providing comprehensive post abortion care trainings, mentorship programs and data collection to improve service delivery;
  • Participating in the development of training programs for service delivery, identifying training needs, selecting trainers and facilities and conducting trainings.
  • Monitoring training data to ensure an up to date database of trainers and attendees as well as to improve the process and outcome of trainings.
  • Performing orientations and baseline assessments for facilities.
  • Facilitate providers access to mentorships to ensure best practices are being implemented to improve and sustain performance.
  • Supporting partner organizations in advancing advocacy efforts at district/provincial level.
  • Forecasting expenditures for budgeting purposes
  • Participating and contributing to drafting donor proposals, presentations and reports as required
  • Performing all duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a medical related field
  • 3-5 years of experience working in health or medical field
  • Must work well in a multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to travel 30%
  • Experience in project and budget management
  • Good written and spoken communications skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a cross-cultural, team-based global environment.
