Without Borders (MSF) is an international independent humanitarian
medical organization which aims to deliver emergency aid to people
affected by armed conflict, epidemics,
natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare, offering assistance to
people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or
political affiliation and whose actions are guided by medical ethics and
the principles of neutrality and impartiality as
stated out in the MSF Charter.
Médecins Sans Frontières is now seeking for Banten Project a
highly qualified candidate to fill in the position of Project
Coordinator Assistant Labuan based
|
|
Main Purpose
|
|
Provide
support to the Project Coordinator in the administrative part of
coordination tasks, ensuring smooth relations with local authorities,
contributing to
the context analysis and follow-up, providing translations and
interpretation in order to ensure the smooth communication with relevant
stakeholders and in the running of the project.
|
Accountabilities
|
|
•
Monitor and report on key issues
(news, events, security, etc.) to the Project Coordinator and provide
support in analyzing contextual information.
•
File and update contacts and
correspondence (with local authorities, other organizations/groups,
stakeholders, etc) in order to ensure information sources accuracy and
its availability on
regular basis.
•
Assist the Project Coordinator in the drafting of correspondences with authorities and counterparts.
•
Organize appointments for the Project
Coordinator with local authorities and partners and assist the project
coordinator in planning meetings and support the Project coordinator
during these
meetings.
•
Execute clerk-related activities as
well as prepare and conduct briefings on the project context to new
employees in order to facilitate their integration onboard and within
the project environment.
•
Translate documents and act as an interpreter for the project coordinator during official representation.

Requirements
|
|
|
|
Education
|
Desirable Secondary school
|
Experience
|
Minimum two years previous experience in similar jobs
Desirable experience in MSF or other NGOs
|
Languages
|
Proficiency in English is a must
|
Knowledge
|
Can understand the main points of MSF work, operational vision and strategy and common subjects encountered in the work place.
Can produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or relevant to the operational context.
Can use English flexibly and effectively for social and professional purposes.
Pays close attention to detail and accuracy to ensure proper representation.
