DAI Global, LLC seeks Regional Managers
for USAID’s Flagship Maternal and Child Health Program (Jalin). Jalin promotes the development of locally led solutions to
prevent maternal and newborn deaths and extend essential health services to
remote and impoverished areas.
The Regional Manager will be based in Medan,
Jakarta, Surabaya, Makassar and reports directly to the Deputy Chief of Party. S/he
is responsible for overseeing all Regional Office technical, financial,
operational, and administrative functions. Importantly, the Regional Manager
develops and maintains diverse partnerships in support of all regional USAID
Jalin activities. Specific Regional Manager responsibilities include but are
not limited to:
§ Build and
maintain relationships with provincial and district leaders from the public and
private sector—including government officials, parliamentarians, civil society
representatives, academics, heads of social organizations and media
professionals.
§ Coordinate with
USAID and other donor projects to ensure complementarity and good working
relations.
§ Represent USAID
Jalin at regional and/or national events.
§ Oversee
execution of multi-stakeholder participatory design, planning, and
implementation processes.
§ Oversee design,
implementation, monitoring, and reporting on grant and subcontract activities.
§ Contribute to
identifying, designing, and managing catalytic financing activities (as per the
Catalytic Financing Toolkit).
§ Work closely
with USAID Jalin staff and consultants from Jakarta and other Regional Offices
to plan, coordinate, and implement activities.
§ Lead all
communications with the USAID Jalin National Office.
§ Contribute to regional
strategy development and lead regional work planning activities.
§ Lead annual and
periodic regional reporting.
§ Oversee all
regional monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities.
§ Other duties
consistent with the overall focus of the assignment as assigned by the Deputy
Chief of Party.
Requirements
§ BA required. MA or other advanced
degree desirable.
§ At least ten years of related
experience in overseeing and managing offices, personnel, and programs.
§ Experience working with subnational
government, civil society organizations, local and international donors, and
other relevant stakeholders.
§ Self-directed, organized, and
creative.
§ Proven capacity to bring together
diverse groups to agree on common objectives.
§ Strong communication skills
required.
§ Ability to
work under pressure in complex environments, competing priorities, and short
deadlines.
