The Manager will work within the Creating Shared Value team and provide a range of services including management, business development and analytical work.


REQUIREMENTS

  • At least five (5) years experience in business development, fundraising and a managerial role
  • Advanced degree in a relevant discipline such as business management.
  • Excellent communication skills in Indonesian and English, especially 
  • Strong English writing and presentation skills
  • A can-do and collaborative mind set - comfortable with ambiguities and demands of a rapidly evolving and fast-paced work environment
  • High energy levels and have an extensive network
  • A commitment to Kopernik’s values and reaching underserved communities
  • Willingness to travel

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business development and client management
  • Cultivate and manage client relationships
  • Understand client needs and develop scope of work and budget for CSV projects
  • Develop new business opportunities with corporate CSR divisions, technology developers, academic partners and other stakeholders interested in engaging in the last mile and base-of-the-pyramid business opportunities
Management of market research and analysis
  • Design and manage socio-economic research on particular geographic locations in Indonesia and other developing countries
  • Manage market research on specific sectors – water, energy, education, housing, agriculture, IT, health, etc. -  in Indonesia and other developing countries
Fieldwork
  • Plan and supervise interviews with households and businesses where needed (interviews will mainly be conducted by senior analysts and analysts reporting to the Program Director)
  • Host and accompany clients on field visits and help with interpretation as necessary
Data analysis and report writing
  • Support the analyst in: data collection, analysis and report writing process; cleaning and analyzing data collected in the field; interpreting and summarizing findings in a succinct, visual way 
Partnership Management
  • Strategic planning, development and management of key donors and partners
  • Relationship management with existing donors and partners
  • Develop creative ways to partner with companies 
Project Management
  • Ensure the project achieve the targets and high levels of compliance with management, financial, inventory and service standards
  • Develop team capacity 
  • Fulfill internal and external reporting requirements and manage donor relationship  
Other tasks
  • Liaise with and build partnerships with local government and relevant authorities
  • Respond to incoming correspondence from local partners, academic partners, and technology producers
  • Undertake other tasks as requested by the team and management
