Yayasan Tunas Cilik seeks for Consultant for Labor Market Assesment West Java –Youth with Disability

Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik partner of Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better.  We've begun to build a national organisation that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia namely Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik Tunas Cilik.  To this end, Yayasan has been designated as a “Prospect Member of Save the Children” which focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Currently Save the Children’s programs in Indonesia is implemented by Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik. We work in eleven provinces, have staff of approximately 400 local professionals, and programming in Child Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian Response. We are currently seeking to fill the following position:

Labor Market Assesment West Java –Youth with Disability



The objective of the study is as follows:

The general objective of this activity is to assess the situation in Youth with Disability workforce and employment, especially challenges for YWD in employment; private sector perspecive toward YWD; and assess the role of any schools or other education institution to prepare YWD to enter employment.

The specific objectives of this study:
  1. Identify and analyze the gaps existed in the labor markets between the needs of the business world (demand side) and readiness of YWD to be able to embrace these disabilities compared to what is provided by schools or training institutions for the disabled, and in what aspects that the program may have the opportunity to fill this gap.
  2. Assess the employer’s perspective toward YWD employment; including their awareness and experience of having YWD as their employee.
  3. Identify any education institution and or any network or community groups which concern and support employment of YWD and how do they support the YWD.
  4. Analyze the level, priority of the disability needs of each package of S2S approach to support their readiness to work
  5. Identify specific stakeholder, including specific disability type of youth in West Java and its specific network including posibly implementing partners that will be valuable to cooperate in the implementation of Skills to Succeed program service activity, so that the intervention of the program will be effective and answer the needs of YWD.
