About the program
MAHKOTA
The Government of Australia is supporting the Government of Indonesia under a program called MAHKOTA - Menuju Masyarakat Indonesia Yang Kokoh Sejahtera (Towards a Strong and Prosperous Indonesian Society). MAHKOTA is a flexible facility administered by Cardno that responds to Government of Indonesia priorities, provides top Indonesian and international expertise, and allows the Government of Indonesia to take risks with innovating policy. MAHKOTA’s goal is “a comprehensive and equitable social protection system for the whole of Indonesia by 2025.”
SOCIAL PROTECTION HUB
The Social Protection Hub is a unit within the Australian Government’s aid program comprising social protection specialists, based in Canberra and Jakarta which focuses on adding value to social protection programs. The Hub plays an important role in supporting counterpart governments in evidence-based policy making in social protection by bringing together international experiences and promoting south-south learning. It has produced research and stimulated regional dialogues on key policy and program issues. The Hub also facilitates capacity building initiatives for the aid program staff in social protection through a variety of means including regular learning sessions, training courses, and learning-by-doing opportunities. It will thus provide a pipeline of qualified staff in the aid program to take forward Australia’s growing engagement in the sector.
Remuneration
This is a locally engaged position and a competitive salary package will be offered to the preferred candidate in line with local labour laws. The position is open to Indonesian nationals and permanent residents with authority to live and work in Indonesia.
