1. Introduction

SNV is an international not-for-profit development organisation, working in 38 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. SNV specializes in supporting the resourcefulness of development actors by developing local capacities, improving performance and services, strengthening governance systems, helping to create access for excluded groups and by making markets work for the poor. Our global team of advisors use their specialist sector and change expertise in Agriculture, Renewable Energy and WASH to facilitate sustainable change in the livelihoods of millions of people living in poverty.

2. About Voice for Change Partnership Programme

In partnership with the International Food Policy Research Institute, the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, SNV is launching in 2016 a five year programme entitled Voice for Change Partnership. The programme will be implemented in 6 countries: Burkina-Faso, Honduras, Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda and Indonesia. The programme's main goal is to support progress in globally challenging topics related to the Sustainable Development Goals, with a specific focus on inclusion and equity issues. This goal is to be achieved by increasing Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) capacities to participate, contribute and influence strategic debates and policy-making processes. In Indonesia, the two topics that will be addressed through the programme are Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Food and Nutrition Security (FNS).

3. Why V4CP Needs a Video?

SNV Global has selected two countries - Ghana and Indonesia - to represent the organization to develop short videos. Ghana is assigned to develop a short video on SNV's WASH sector, while Indonesia will focus its resources in developing a video on its advocacy work in food and nutrition security (FNS) sector.

4. Objective

SNV is looking for professional service provider of an individual/ company to produce 2 (two) minute video. The documentary video will profiling the Food and Nutrition Security the advocacy program, its objective, process, and progress.

5. Scope of Work

In close coordination with the SNV V4C team, the service provider will have the following tasks:

* Develop overall concept for the video mentioned in the objective.

* Develop the scripts and storyboards.

* Direct, film, and produce the videos in Jakarta and/or other possible locations.

* Provide post-production editing and fine tuning work of the video.

* Provide a one-stop-shop video solution which includes subtitling, narration, and translating to the whole or part of the video in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

* Deliver the videos in high resolution and in popular formats for: InFocus presentations, YouTube, and Television.

* Provide SNV with the final work on a USB drive.

* Obtain content, testimonial, and build context by visiting project sites, interacting and interviewing with relevant stakeholders. Relevant stakeholder may include, but not limited to local government staff and other beneficiaries in Lombok Timur and/or Lombok Utara, Nusa Tenggara Barat Province.

* Develop the video in accordance with SNV brand passport and communication guideline.

6. Qualification Criteria:

* Have more than 5 years of experience in developing video scripts and story boards, as well as producing and directing videos.

* Familiar with providing video products to a variety of clients in different industries.

* Extensive experience in producing development work related documentaries for international organisations with the aim of reaching both international and local audiences.

* Able to film in digital, high definition (HDI) format.

* Demonstrate the ability to complete the delivery of the products on time as schedule.

* Able, willing and have the permits to travel to different locations in Indonesia within the program's geographical target areas.

* Excellent technical capacities. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills in English and Indonesian.

7. Deliverables

* Story board and accompanying script.

* Direct, film, and produce the videos.

* Provide post-production services (including subtitling and Bahasa narration).

* Deliver one video: 2 (two) minute documentary videos as mentioned in the Scope of Work.

* Deliver to SNV no later than 15 May 2018 on a USB drive.

8. Duration and Period of Performance

This contract is expected to be started at the last week of April 2018 (or as soon as possible) to 01 June 2018. The estimated total number of days assigned is 25 days. The service provider shall arrange their schedule to at least include the bellow processes:

* Briefing meeting

* Preparation

* Production & Editing

* Finalization of video

* Evaluation meeting

9. Point of Contract

The service provider will work closely with SNV V4CP Team.

2) Brief methodology on the approach and implementation of the assignment;

3) Cost proposal, with an indication of fee for service and other expenses (includes travel and accommodation)

4) Sample of portfolio (link to YouTube channel)
