seeking qualified candidates for the position of: Health Systems Strengthening (HSS) Lead for an
anticipated USAID Control and Elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases
(CEP-NTD), Sub-element 2A Asia.
Position
Description:
The HSS Lead
is considered “key personnel” responsible for overall strategic direction for
mainstreaming NTDs into national health and planning country systems and
ensuring that programs are designed towards achieving national NTD goals.
The recruitment is contingent upon successful award
of the project to FHI 360 and final USAID approval of the candidate.
The Applicant
must meet or exceed the qualifications listed below:
·
Minimum of a master’s degree in public health, international development,
public policy,
or related field;
·
A minimum of ten years’ global and in-country experience in implementation
of health
systems strengthening programs and/or policy reform preferably addressing
cross-sector
issues;
·
Demonstrated experience in implementing robust HSS programs in a developing
country context, with technical expertise in one or more of the following
areas: policy
reform, service coverage, workforce alignment and/or related areas of
health system
strengthening.
·
Demonstrated capacity to operate within the HSS community and function as a
leader on
diverse matters related to HSS in developing countries;
·
Demonstrated experience implementing HSS programs that incorporate
non-health sector
and/or multi-health sector programs;
·
Demonstrated management, leadership, decision making, and interpersonal
skills;
·
Full professional proficiency in English with excellent oral and written
communications
skills; and
·
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective working relations
with senior
·
Government personnel, international organizations, NGO partners, host
country
governments,
and U.S. Government Agencies.

Position
Description:

The Applicant

Master's Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, or a relevant
field,
·
At least ten years of progressively more senior-level experience including
supervision
and management experience;
·
At least five years of experience with quantitative and qualitative M&E
for international
development programs; experience with impact evaluations a plus;
·
At least three years of managing a complex MEL program component or
portfolio of
complex MEL activities contracts and supervising staff;
·
Experience in at least one of the following international development
areas: health;
economic growth, food security, democracy and governance;
·
Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and implement all technical, fiscal
and
administrative components of complex, overseas MEL programs;
·
Demonstrated ability to organize and effectively communicate results and
impact to a
variety of audiences; and
·
Experience
in establishing effective partnerships within and outside the organization.

Position
Description:
This
individual will be responsible for reporting and meetings with the
program AOR, or designated Activity Manager. The Program
Director will provide vision, direction, leadership, and management to
the award.

At a minimum
the Program Director will possess the following required experience and
qualifications:

Minimum of a master’s degree in public health, tropical medicine,
epidemiology, health
management, or related field; MD or PhD preferred;
·
A minimum of 15 years’ experience working on international projects related
to
infectious diseases;
·
A minimum of 10 years’ experience successfully leading international
development
·
projects similar in scope and complexity;
·
Demonstrated competency in management, leadership, decision making, and
business
acumen;
·
Demonstrated success in leading organizations and people with diverse
backgrounds and
skills sets to achieve results;
·
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective working relations
with senior

Position
Description:
This
individual will be responsible for providing technical leadership of the
program and supporting the Program Director with his/her
responsibilities.
The recruitment is contingent upon successful award
of the project to FHI 360 and final USAID approval of the candidate.
The Technical
Director must have the following experience and qualifications:
·
A degree in medicine or PhD, preferably with a specialization in NTDs;
·
Minimum of 15 years’ experience working on international projects related
to NTDs,
preferably with one or more of the following: LF, trachoma, onchocerciasis,
schistosomiasis and/or soil-transmitted helminths;
·
At least five years of senior level experience providing technical support
to developing
countries on NTDs;
·
Demonstrated experience working in global or regional consensus building or
normative
guidance setting initiatives or working groups on one or more NTD;
·
A least five years in management of public health programming involved in
the
introduction and scale up of technical interventions;
·
Proven skill in working with senior‐level representatives
of developing country
governments, international organizations, other bilateral donor and civil
society
organizations, and private sector organizations;
·
Demonstrated management, leadership, decision‐making, and interpersonal skills; and
·
Full professional proficiency in English, with excellent oral and written
communications
skills.
