Currently we
are looking for a right person to fill the position as HOB Communication Manager to be based in Jakarta and report to HoB Leader.
Key Outputs
To lead and manage the communication activities in
WWF’s HoB Programme, as well as to define, design, and implement communication
strategic plan to outreach key stakeholders through various channels including
mainstream media, digital media, others media and WWF own communication
channels (website, social media account) for WWF HoB Programme according to WWF
Global policies and procedures, in order to contribute to the positioning of
WWF related to HoB Initiative and ensure the relevant stakeholders to the
program are adequately informed.
Major
Activities
-
To improve and adjust WWF HoB
Communication Strategy and Plan that effectively delivers WWF message to
partners and stakeholders
-
To identify and analyze potential audience,
media, donors and related stakeholders to develop effective way of
communication, design appropriate strategy in accordance with marketing and
respective project objective in order to be implemented and reach communication
target

To lead and manage key events of HoB
-
To gather information from related
project/program and obtain required understanding of the project/program
including objective and current progress and to act as a clearing house for WWF
Communications emanating from Borneo
-
To assist HoB Leader in handling media
with primary function to continuously monitor media response and advise
supervisor and other Leaders related to HoB issues for additional measures to
be taken
-
To provide support to WWF Indonesia,
WWF Malaysia, and Brunei Darussalam and field offices to comply for a
harmonised communication and media engagement (timely and key conservation
issues allign with each Strategic Plan)

To lead and coordinate the
organisation of communication and campaign events of HoB and provide advise to
supervisor for strategic engagement with relevant key stakeholders

To lead and manage the campaign on
Visit the Heart of Borneo, multi-year campaign to promote HoB as an attractive
ecotourism destination
-
To provide key theme/messaging in
allignment with WWF updated Communication Calendar and advise relevant emerging
issues for activation in all digital channels in coordination with other
functions/units.

To develop communication materials for
communication channels (website, social media account) and conduct trainings to be delivered to
related partner (community, media, etc) to the HoB Programme

To provide key conservation messages
to public and prominent figures and/or existing WWF Honorary Supporters for
leverage profiling and outreaching wider public of key conservation works
-
To create communication reports to
document donor engagement activities, success and or lesson learned stories, in
order to ensure documentation of inputs for future fundraising activities
-
To provide quality assurance in the
development and production of required reports, publications, leaflets
including but not limited to Annual Report, Programme Highlights, and Thematic
Reports

To functionally lead, coach, develop
members of the own function, and give input for appraisal
Specifications
-
Master Degree or equivalent from communication, public relation,
or environmental/conservation study and journalism.
-
At
least 6 years working experiences at leadership level in conservation,
environmental or sustainable development area/issue.
