Report

1.
Background
Since 2014, Hivos Southeast Asia has been
implementing a Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) project on behalf of the
DFAT – funded Australia – Indonesia Partnership for Promoting Rural Income
through Support for Markets in Agriculture (AIP-PRISMA) program. The project,
entitled “Commercial Pig Rearing in Nusa Tenggara Timur” was implemented in
Flores and Sumba in partnership with private sector entities, civil society
organizations, and individual farmers in NTT.
The objective of project is to increase pig
farmer income by improving and incentivizing productivity. This will be
achieved by addressing several constraints on farmers’ efficient participation
in the market, namely; facilitating farmer access to finance; increasing the
speed at which pig can raised via the introduction of service provider for
fodder, extension services, commercial aggregation and processing; and
developing retail, wholesale and export potential in NTT.
The MRM Officer is part of the Hivos Support
the Promotion of Commercial Feed Supply in NTT field project team and will be
based in the project will be based in Ende. S/he reports to the ProgramManager,
and works closely with the rest of the project field team, partners, and donor
counterparts.
The main responsibilities of the MRM Officer
are to assist Program Manager in translating the project’s Result Chain into
SMART project targets and tangible indicators. S/He will develop a monitoring
and measurement plan; effectively communicate this plan and its requirements to
enumerators and the project team; and ensure its correct implementation. MRM
Officer with Program Manager will analyze, validate and aggregate the data that
has been gathered, and prepare monthly progress reports in accordance with
donor requirements. The Office is also deliver data-based evidence to sharpen
project implementation, including evidence to sharpen project implementation.
The Officer frequent communication with the Field Coordinator and Field
Assistant
2. Roles & Responsibilities
The MRM Officer roles and responsibilities are
:
1.
Lead
monitoring and result measurement based on the monitoring and Result
Measurement Standard determined by AIP-PRISMA with support from the Field team.
2.
Coordinate
closely with the Project Manager
3.
Developing
monitoring plans: collecting data, analyzing the result, learning, planning and
reporting to enhance appropriate decision making and learning process.
4.
Ensure
that MRM database system is providing appropriate and accurate data for
reporting activities
5.
In
close partnership with Program Manager in compiling, analyzing and preparing
relevant MRM data for reporting activities.
6.
In
close partnership with Field team in compiling and preparing relevant MRM data
for reports to donor.
7.
Assist
the local partner in the MRM-related activities
8.
Ensure
timely submission of report from the partner.
3. Knowledge and experiences :
We are seeking an Indonesian person with the
following qualities:

to operating excel program.

Substantial
knowledge regarding the program management on the field.
·
Experience
in survey or research activities.
·
The
ability to communicate with, connect, and inquiring information from
partner/stakeholder.
·
Interested
in survey or collect data activities.
·
Interest
with pig commodity topic.
·
Good
interpersonal skill and ability to work in team.
