PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Indonesia Clean Energy Development (ICED II) Project is a sixty (60) month project funded by the USAID (United States Agency for International Development) and implemented by Tetra Tech ES, from May 2015 through May 2020. The purpose of USAID’s Tetra Tech is to assist the GOI in establishing an effective policy, regulatory and incentive environment for low-emission growth in the energy sector, while simultaneously attracting public- and private-sector investment in clean energy development.

BACKGROUND

Tetra Tech seeks an experienced Renewable Energy Project Development Officer to support the activity of technical consulting, multi-level regulatory reviews and engineering design reviews for renewable energy integration projects.

Reporting line:  Component 2 Lead

JOB DESCRIPTION

The RE Project Development Officer will perform the following essential duties:

·         Supporting the proposed activity in the development of microscale, off grid and on grid connected commercial and utility-scale renewable energy projects;

·         Provide support to component 2 lead and all managers in component 2 to develop progress reports and other status updates to client and management as required;

·         Coordination of proposed and planned activity support with component 2 lead, members and experts;

·         Perform regular check-ins with component 2 lead to gauge activity/project support progress;

·         Support Component 2 lead and member to gather key milestones, challenges and progress of each planned activity;

·         Support Component 2 lead to develop monthly or biweekly report, quarterly report, annual report as well as the development of new activity;

·         Participate in the Component 2 meetings, workshops, seminar and survey visit to the project site (if it is requested) and carry out note taking, voice recording, photo taking, material presentation, letter preparation, and other related works;

·         Any other duties assigned.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Bachelor or Master’s Degree in related technical discipline with demonstrated subject matter expertise.

·         Familiar with Renewable Energy project technology and development process.

·         Familiar with Renewable energy systems integration and distribution interconnections as well as related multi-jurisdictional project reviews.

·         Demonstrated skills and experience to manage multi-disciplinary consulting team activities, business development, networking, and client management responsibilities for a variety of regulated utility and commercial power development projects.

·         Proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary team activities and strong client relationship and management skills.

·         Proficient in project proposal and business development leadership skills.

·         Other beneficial experience:

·         Familiar with regional PLN, regulated utilities, and commercial project developers.

·         Proven abilities to represent company at networking events to build brand in this market area
