YSTC - Save the Children Indonesia seeks Program Coordinator - Greater Jakarta Field Office

Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik partner of Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better. We've begun to build a national organization that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia. To this end, SC Indonesia has been designated as a “Prospect Member”. As ‘Prospect Member’ Indonesia has been identified as part of the next way of new member development, which focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Indonesia has been authorized by member ballot to start fundraising locally as a first step towards building a financially sustainable local organization. Future work will also involve developing a strong local governance structure and building key partnerships with local government, the private sector, local civil society among others. Success of the pilot phase will set the Indonesia on a pathway to full membership. We are currently seeking to fill the following position:



Program Coordinator - Reducing Child Labour and Creating Opportunities for Children/FORTUM Project

1 position based in Greater Jakarta Field Office


ROLE PURPOSE:
The Program Coordinator will coordinate all Reducing Child Labour and Creating Opportunities for Children program activities under Greater Jakarta Office operation area and will be based in Greater Jakarta Office. Under supervision Youth and Child Protection Program Manager, the post holder will contribute to succeed of the program implementation in Greater Jakarta Area; as planned and met as scheduled and up to the expected standards and quality benchmarks. The post holder will also ensure all communications are completed in a timely and accurate manner, and all child safeguarding controls are enforced. She/He will responsible to maintain the relationship of education related stakeholders with individuals, institutions, civil society, youth and communities in mutual respect and focused to the best interests of children. She/He will ensure quality and timely implementation and reporting of program activities under her/his responsibility line, with the overall planning framework, and in compliance with YSTC-Save the Children and donor policies and procedures. 
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Bachelors University Degree or equivalent in a relevant field; Recommended a minimum of 3 years experiences working as project officer in development programming or reputable national/international organization; Solid project management skills with a proven history of delivering results (planning, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation); Understanding and knowledge in program budgeting (forecasting, Budget versus Actual monitoring and analysis, evaluate options and plan); Deep knowledge in Reducing Child Labour and Creating Opportunities for Children as well as child protection, public health, education in general would be a plus; Ability to manage and develop a team; Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Fluency in written and spoken Indonesian, and good in English written and spoken skills; Ability and willingness to be stationed in Greater Jakarta with frequent travel to field locations; Commitment  to  and  understanding  of  Save  the  Children’s  aims,  values  and principles  including rights-based approaches; Demonstrated ability to write high quality reports and other project documents in Indonesian and English Flexible and organised approach to handling a varying workload.
Child Safeguarding:
Contribute to the overall implementation of Child Safeguarding Policy (CSP) within the response including ensuring CSP integration in all project activities including for target beneficiaries. We need to keep children safe so our selection process, which includes rigorous background checks, reflects our commitment to the protection of children from abuse.
