ChildFund has been
operating in Indonesia since 1973. It has its National Office in South Jakarta
and 2 zonal offices. The first zonal office is located in Jakarta, whilst the
second zonal office is located in Kupang, Eastern Indonesia. The program is
approximately 5 m$ per year. Most of these funds come primarily from child
sponsorship and grants. Engaging with communities, local and national
Government and ministries in the sector of Child Protection, Education, Health,
Emergency Response, Disaster Risk Reduction, Food Security, Livelihoods Gender,
ChildFund has program in 8 provinces, 32 districts and 173 villages in
Indonesia, with 432,615 children and having benefited from this program.
ChildFund Indonesia
works in partnership with community based organizations and other strategic
stakeholders throughout Indonesia to suppport children and youth who are
Deprived, Excluded and Vulnerable (DEV) so that they can improve their lives
and become young adults, parents and leaders who will bring lasting and
positive change in their communities. More specifically, ChildFund Indonesia
supports these children in their different life stages towards becoming:
- Healthy and Secured Infants – Lifestage 1 (LS 1)
- Educated and Confident Children – Lifestage 2 (LS 2)
- Skilled and Involved Youth – Lifestage 3 (LS 3)

Safe and Secure
School Environment for Children (S3EC) program in Central Java and Jogjakarta[IT1] .
This project seeks to address the problem of children at primary school which fall
under aged 6-14 who are attending schools with poor support capacity from
teachers and the School Committee, and are learning in unsafe school
facilities.
The ultimate goal of this project are to made
safe learning environments for children to learn in disaster prone areas of
Cilacap and Kulon Progo for school attending children aged 6 – 14.
The outcome of this
project are:
- Safe School Principles are mainstreamed into school teaching lessons
- Primary School facilities are renovated and structurally safe by following the National Guidelines on Safe School Principles for school attending children
- Community and School Committee members are actively functioning to ensure the safety of the children during learning

Project Coordinator Safe and Secure
School Environment for Children (S3EC)
Reporting
to : Zonal Manager Western
Zone
Based in : Yogyakarta and
Cilacap
Duration : One-year contract with possibility
extension based on performance and project duration.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
LEADERSHIP
§
Provide leadership in the implementation of
project activities within approved plans, budgets and agreements, and in
compliance with organizational policies/procedures, operational systems, and
donor requirements and regulations.
- Mentoring Local Parthers ’s team, especially with LP’s project officers, program coordinator and project manager (pimpro) to reach program quality delivery.
- Ensure the implementation of S3EC project executed as in proposal approval (end to end)
STRATEGIC PLANNING
·
Contribute in the planning process of the
project, responsible from end to end of implementation, and do routine/reguler monitoring
program activities by providing technical inputs based on relevant field-based
experiences.
- Conduct program/project monitoring visits, and spot checks in the areas of assignment and address identified performance problems or discrepancies.
- Develop Advocacy and Sustainability Plan of the project in discussion with Local Partners
- Bringing the project to get buy in and consider as a model by district education offices
NETWORK/PARTNERSHIP
§
Build relationship and collaborate with
partners (GO’s, NGOs, Schools, institutions, media and others) at local levels to speed up the project
implementation, increase resource sharing and complementation (financial,
technical, etc.).
- Maintain positive relationship with donor through preparation and submission of timely and high-quality reports and documentations.
- Work with finance team to develop budgets, track spending, and ensure timely financial reporting.
- Liaise with ChilFund network in visibility and update S3EC project in the network
- Introducing and build relationship with SPAB secretariat (Satuan Pendidikan Aman Bencana) at Ministry of Education
CAPACITY BUILDING
- Assist and collaborate with concerned staff in the conduct of initiatives aimed to enhance program quality and secure additional funding to support and expand services to enrolled families and children.
- Resources person of S3EC module on Life Skills Education and financial literacy for internal ChildFund, National level, and Asia region [IT3]
- Provide technical skills and manage training as planned in the project
QUALITY of PROGRAM
Ensure the quality of program deliver as agreed standard that have been
developed in the project proposal
Working closely with
technical specialist on LS 2 to ensure the quality of the program delivered[IT4]
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
·
7-10
years experience in working in the human service or social services and/or with
a non profit agency, preferably community organization
·
Computer
proficiency in general office software applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
·
Experience in
facilitating trainings to community; experience in facilitating trainings to elementary school teachers and community
volunteers, Demonstrated experience with the program
cycle management (PCM) is preferred
·
Outstanding
written and oral communication skills in English;
·
Good
oral/written communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to travel to program locations; where applicable
EDUCATION/certifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in early education,
psychology, Social Work or
relevant human services discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience;
advanced degree desirable
