Annika Linden Center (ALC) acts as an incubator for impact designed for local non-profits in Indonesia, providing capacity building, mentorship, and connecting local leaders to global resources and expertise. Located in Bali it also is a health facility centre, a one-stop shop where persons with disabilities can access multiple services from disability organisations at the same time, receiving mobility, rehabilitation and employment services. ALC helps Inspirasia Foundation monitor and evaluate the programmes and the money being spent by the Foundation’s grantees to ensure the most impact for funds given is reached.
Currently ALC provides incubation programs for five non-profits in Bali: YRS, YPK, EBPP, YKIP, Puspadi Bali and UCP Jogja.

Building organisation’s sustainable development plan for 3 organisations in the disability sector. How can the organisations we support be more sustainable?

Sustainable Research Consultant
Duration: 3 Months
Type of Work: Research Consultancy
Objectives: This research on Organisational sustainability aims to better understand on potential and opportunities for an organisation to grow, have diversification income, and be sustainable. 
The right candidate will work for 3 months to help the Foundation answer the above question. At the end of the research we want a report that gives recommendations on where and what the organisation/s can do in order to be sustainable. The report will also allow the Foundation to clarify what type of person should be employed at the Annika Linden Centre as a Relationship Manager, to work closely and support the organisations towards sustainability.
We have identified three areas of sustainability for our Grantees:
1.       Monetizing services or products – Social Enterprise
2.      Advocacy – Getting Government onboard
3.      Fundraising – Improving current fundraising and creating a long term fundraising strategy

ROLE AND TASK DESCRIPTION         
·       Three-month research analyses to be conducted on 3 organisations.
·       Carry out questionnaires, interviews and collect data required for the research through desk research, meetings with no profits, social enterprises, businesses in the sectors and government.
·       Get a clear understanding of the organisation and the environment and what the organisation is already doing when it comes to sustainability and the identified 3 areas (mentioned above)
·       Understand the opportunities
·       Present a clear report on the findings and recommendations for the Foundation based on the organisation’s possibilities to be more sustainable as an organisation.

Deliverables:
1.       Research report on Organisational sustainability development plan in English in Microsoft word and Presentation PPT version.
2.      Details in the reports to include Market analysis, Best practices, Challenge and Opportunities, Stakeholder synergies and conflict.
3.      Recommendation and conclusion, to include an action/measures to be carried out by the organisation to be more sustainable, value chains to support, organisations / social enterprise/ government to engage with.

The Budget for this Research is USD 3,000 for 3 months project duration.

QUALITITES and SKILLS
·       Individual or a team with excellent analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
·       Work well in a short timeframe and meet deadlines
·       Can work well alone and be able to approach organisations and teams
·       Business development skills – understanding non-profits and their environment while also looking into their capabilities and possibilities / opportunities to create revenue streams – Important that they don’t move away from their main goals and objectives
·       Understand / background in Advocacy – understand the sector they work in and the Indonesian environment – who is working in the sector, what are the possibilities etc?
·       Fundraising and donor relation experience
·       Fluent in Bahasa
·       Understand the Indonesian / Balinese environment and context for the non-profit sectors
·       Business development
·       Find solutions to sustainability
·       Worked in development, sustainability
·       Flexible with time and work, pays attention to detail
