YSTC - Save The Children Indonesia seeks ECCD Program Coordinator for Greater Jakarta


Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better. We've begun to build a national organization that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia. To this end, SC Indonesia has been designated as a “Prospect Member”. As ‘Prospect Member’ Indonesia has been identified as part of the next way of new member development, which focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Indonesia has been authorized by member ballot to start fundraising locally as a first step towards building a financially sustainable local organization. Future work will also involve developing a strong local governance structure and building key partnerships with local government, the private sector, local civil society among others. Success of the pilot phase will set the Indonesia on a pathway to full membership. We are currently seeking to fill the following position:

 
ECCD Program Coordinator – Greater Jakarta
1 position based in Jakarta
Code : ECCDPC-GJ

ROLE PURPOSE:
The ECCD – Program Coordinator will be based in Greater Jakarta Field Office and will conduct program implementation duties; includes: ensuring all program activities are implemented according to plan and at a high-level of quality, all reporting and planning is completed in a timely manner and at a high-quality, all communications are completed in a timely and accurate manner,  coordinate well with key external stakeholders, all child safeguarding controls are enforced, and financial and administrative management adheres to Save the Children’s and donor’s policies, regulations, and procedures. The ECCD – Program Coordinator will also lead program planning and ensure we advocate with key government stakeholders to achieve positive change using evidence from our program works as the basis. S/he will represent Save the Children in the working area; in particularly related to ECCD programming and will support program development and emergency preparedness and response under Greater Jakarta Field Office. The position will requires travel to field locations and support for hosting donor visits.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
Essential
  • Min. bachelor degree in Social Science or other related discipline.
  • Min. 6 years working experience in related field.
  • Proven expertise on working children with a good skill on child-friendly facilitation and involving children in programming.
  • Experience in implementing ECCD project is preferred.
  • Working experience with INGO(s) and/or UN agency (ies).
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong understanding of Government structures and functions as well as general operations in Indonesia.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, pressured environment.
  • Strong written and verbal English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Desirable
  • Min. 3 years in ECCD programs
  • Detail oriented
  • Sound reasoning and decision making skills.
