The Hygiene Promotion Program Officer will
ensure communities affected by the earthquake in MCI target area is able to
access safe and equal WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Promotion)
facilities and services through promotion of good hygiene practices to reduce
environmental health risks. His/Her task will include providing the
disaster-affected people with necessary and appropriate information that is
easy to be understood by the targeted communities to prevent water and
sanitation-related diseases and mobilize community involvement in the design
and maintenance of the WASH facilities.
Qualifications:
·
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health,
or any other related disciplines with at least three-years
working experience working in WASH
program, particularly focused on hygiene promotion;
·
Proven experience in designing,
implementing, and monitoring behavior change program is required;
·
Demonstrated knowledge on protection
principles and familiar with the concept of using data for decision-making is
preferred;
·
Demonstrated understanding with
Sphere standard is preferred;
·
Able to work in a multi-culture and
work effectively with and communicate well at both government and community
levels;
·
Able to travel to remote areas;
·
Strong
familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel are mandatory;
·
Proficiency in English is essential;
·
Preferred those with driving license
for motorbike;
·
Priority
will be given to the local residents.
