Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik partner of
Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for
the better. We've begun to build a national organisation
that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children
in Indonesia namely Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik Tunas Cilik. To this
end, Yayasan has been designated as a “Prospect Member of Save the
Children” which focuses on strengthening and localizing
our voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Currently
Save the Children’s programs in Indonesia is implemented by Yayasan
Sayangi
Tunas Cilik. We work in eleven provinces, have staff of approximately
300 local professionals, and programming in Child Protection, Education,
Health and Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian
Response. We are currently seeking to fill the following
position:
PROJECT OFFICER – PROMOTE (Preventing
and Response to Malaria Outbreak)
3 position based in Lombok Barat, NTB
(Code : POP – Lombok ER )
ROLE PURPOSE:
Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik Partner of Save
the Children will provide response for Malaria outbreak in disaster
impact area in West Lombok, NTB.
Project Officer will provide support and
assistance as well as give capacity building to prevent and response to
Malaria Outbreak intervention through Community
Based approach. He/she will ensure that PHBS (clean and healthy
lifestyle) as an important part to prevent and response to malaria could
be well implemented by community in affected areas of disaster. The
Project officer will responsible to collect relevant
data from field and monitor and mentoring of all field activities.
He/she will support to ensure that quality and timely implementation of
project activities, building network, and communication with stakeholder
as well as to conduct advocacy work.
SCOPE OF ROLE:

Role Dimensions:
Participate in the development of annual/monthly work plans, supervised
implementation program activities at field level in accordance with
work plans, identified gap and lesson learned, facilitating monitoring
and evaluation support communications /monitoring
and advocacy, and represent Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik to key local stakeholders.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :
- Participate in the development of monthly work plans for project
- Ensure the project activities are implemented according to the detailed implementation plan including supervised the technical implementation of the project in the field.
- Working closely with PHO, DHO, and Community Health Centre to ensure high quality technical implementation of all project interventions according to global best practices, and lessons learned from Save the Children program
- Ensure close collaboration with local stakeholders including establishing and developing strong and effective relationships with children, communities, Dept. of Environmental
•
Contribute to systematically building local government capacity
and co-implementation of the project including coordinating community
selection, community mobilization, training, mentoring, monitoring, and
project public events such as results dissemination.
•
Participate in program evaluation including baseline studies and program evaluations.
•
Support the development and implementation of an effective monitoring and evaluation system for the project.
•
Timely procure of goods and services for project delivery
•
Provide supportive supervision to ensure quality of program.
•
Ensure that there is close coordination with related Cluster to
ensure integration and support as well as coordination among agency and
governmental institution.
•
Involve in advocacy activities at district and village level to ensure the sustainability of the program
•
Provide timely reports on their activities
•
Any other duties assigned by line manager / supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS
•
Bachelors University Degree or equivalent in a relevant field
preferable nurse, midwife, public health, and nutritionist, psychology,
social, communication and education.
•
At least 2 years work experience with non-government
organizations in Eastern Indonesia, especially on Community Development
or Health & WASH program
•
Knowledge about hygiene promotion, parenting positive
in Eastern Indonesia
•
At least 2 years experiences at least two of thematic issues of
programs, health, WASH, child development, and child protection
preferably with international NGO’s
•
She/He has experience in provide mentoring or coaching to community people
•
She/He has experience in implementing community empowerment program
•
Excellent oral and written communication skills in Bahasa or local language
•
Willingness to work in rural and remote areas
•
Basic computer skills
•
Ability to ride motorcycle and with appropriate license
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
•
Knowledge and skills in Community Development approach
•
Proven skills to develop an implementation plan and then
efficiently implement activities as well as to monitoring the activities
and it’s outcome
•
Demonstrated ability to write high quality reports in Bahasa
•
Proven ability to manage financial resources according to donor and organization regulations
•
Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural team
