Consultant For University Forum and Gender Mainstreaming (National Consultant) (INT5358)

About Us
Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty. That means we tackle the inequality that keeps people poor. Together we save, protect and rebuild lives. When disaster strikes, we help people build better lives for themselves, and for others. We take on issues like land rights, climate change and discrimination against women. And we won’t stop until every person on the planet can enjoy life free from poverty.
Oxfam GB is a member of international confederation of 19 organisations working together with partners and local communities in the areas of humanitarian, development and campaigning, in more than 90 countries.
Oxfam in Indonesia
Oxfam has been working in Indonesia to contribute towards finding lasting solutions to poverty and suffering in the country since 1957.  Oxfam has been supporting local and national partners in many parts of the country to realize our shared vision to ensure women’s rights to a sustainable livelihood, to be heard and to have access to basic social services, are respected, in particular during shocks or disasters. We are presently implementing a wide range of sustainable development and disaster preparedness initiatives in seven provinces. Our principal Government partner is the Ministry of Social Affair.

Background
Oxfam has gone through several stages in the development of the ICDRC (Indonesia Climate Disaster Resilient Communities) project design with funding support from DFAT-ANCP. The project design with a duration of four fiscal years (2018-2022) has arrived at the final stage. The ICDRC project will be implemented through a partnership scheme with seven partner institutions, 3 partners for cross-cutting (Jemari Sakato Sumatera Barat, Pusat Kajian Perlindungan Anak Sumatera Utara, Sapda Yogyakarta), and 4 partners for project implementation in NTB and NTB (Konsorsium Untuk Setudi dan Pengembangan Partisipasi NTB, Lembaga Pengembangan Partisipasi Demokrasi dan Ekonomi Rakyat Bima, Perkumpulan Pikul Kupang, dan  Yayasan Pengkajian dan Pengembangan Sosial Flores Timur) that directly engage with Oxfam and involve government institutions and institutions that will directly work with partner institutions that sign Letters of Agreement with Oxfam.
The Indonesia Climate and Disaster Resilient Communities (ICDRC) Project supports vulnerable rural and urban communities, especially women, in Indonesia by increasing Climate Resilient Sustainable Agriculture and Livelihoods (CRSA/L), preparedness response and adaptive capacity to disasters, and enabling inclusive DRM systems. The goal of the project is that by 2022, targeted vulnerable rural and urban communities in selected locations in Indonesia, with a focus on women and people with disability, realise their rights and improve their well-being despite shocks, stresses and uncertainty.
