Title : Consultant for Visualization
of Theory of Change For Sustainable Diets For All Program in 2019
Duty station : Jakarta, Indonesia
Duration :
April 2019
Background
The Strategic Partnership on Sustainable Diets for
All (SD4All) was started by Hivos and IIED in 2016. This is one of the four
programs of its Dialogue and Dissent strategic partnership with the Dutch
Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The five-year program focuses on specific lobby and
advocacy goals (influencing policies and practices of market and government
actors) as well as on strengthening of advocacy capacities of civil society
actors, specifically in the food sector. The long term goal is more
sustainable, diverse, healthy and nutritious food available for low-income
citizens.
In Indonesia, the first stage of the program
involves multistakeholder platforms as well as relevant activities and public
campaigns in Bandung City and Jember Regency. Hivos and IIED have established
partnership with one local organization, namely Tanoker in Jember. With the
start of Switch Asia Local Harvest program in 2018, in which SD4All also
contributes, Hivos has two new sub-grant partners whose parts of their works
also contribute to SD4All targets, namely the Association for Women in Small
Business Assistance (ASPPUK) and Non-Timber Forest Products – Exchange Program
(NTFP-EP).
In Strategic Partnership including SD4ALL program,
we aim for systemic change. We use Theory of Change (TOC) tool to plan and
think strategically from actions to what change we want to achieve. The
country-specific ToC is reviewed annually based on the lobby focus and progress
of activities.
During a two-day workshop in January 2019, a draft
TOC had been developed by all the partners and Hivos.
