Regional Project Officer, USAID/Indonesia Harmoni



Project Summary: 
The four-year USAID-funded Harmoni activity promotes tolerance and inclusion and reduces the risk of violent extremism (VE). Harmoni focuses support on interventions that are narrowly targeted towards communities and individuals most at risk of extremism, with a mandate to build the resilience of key Indonesian institutions – governmental, civil society, religious, and community-based – that represent the frontline in preventing VE and intolerant acts in Indonesia.


This is a full-time, long-term position based in Solo, Central Java
This position is open to Indonesian nationals only

Position Summary:
The Regional Project Officer in Solo will support the development, implementation, monitoring & evaluation (M&E), and reporting of project activities in the Solo Raya area (Solo City and surrounding districts) as well as other parts of Central Java as needed. S/he will work under the supervision of the Harmoni IR 1 Lead/Regional Coordinator for Solo and will coordinate extensively with project grantees and partners from government and civil society. S/he will work with all Harmoni Program and Operations team members to ensure the effective and efficient execution of program interventions.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate activities by the Harmoni team and partners in the Solo region.
  • Serve as a project focal point for networking, partner engagement, program development and planning, and operational and implementation support for activities in the Solo area, working closely with the Harmoni Program & Operations Teams.
  • Provide administrative support functions for activity development, procurement, and execution.
  • Develop procurement plans with partners and grantees.
  • Prepare logistic support  and procurement  for seminar s , workshop s , training s , et al., in coordination with Prograam Team staff.
  • Arrange travel, accommodation, venues, and participant allowances for supported interventions.
  • Execute procurement to support project activitie s, including identifying vendors, preparing bid matrices, and processing Micro Purchase Order s .
  • Ensure distribution and documentation of goods and services for activity implementation, working with partners and grantees.
  • Complete and check supporting document for payments for submission to the Finance Team.
  • Send and receive letters and other correspondence.
  • Develop positive relationships with relevant government agencies in the region, as needed.
  • Participate in Program Team meetings, online or offline, whenever possible.
  • Perform other task as assigned by the direct supervisor and Harmoni Senior Management Team.
Job Qualifications
  • University degree preferred, plus minimum four years of professional experience performing program or administrative duties, preferably for an international organization or donor program. USAID project experience a plus.
  • Experience with procurement of goods and services, preferably with an international organization or program.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and independently, delivering products or completing responsibilities on time and at the required quality level.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Strong spoken and written English.
  • Fluency with MS Office software applications.
