ChildFund has been operating in Indonesia since
1973. It has its National Office in South Jakarta and 2 zonal offices. The
first zonal office is located in Jakarta, whilst the second zonal office is
located in Kupang, Eastern Indonesia. The program is approximately 5 m$ per
year. Most of these funds come primarily from child sponsorship and grants.
Engaging with communities, local and national Government and ministries in the
sector of Child Protection, Education, Health, Emergency Response, Disaster
Risk Reduction, Food Security, Livelihoods Gender, ChildFund has program in 8
provinces, 32 districts and 173 villages in Indonesia, with 432,615 children
and having benefited from this program.
ChildFund Indonesia works in partnership with
community based organizations and other strategic stakeholders throughout
Indonesia to suppport children and youth who are Deprived, Excluded and
Vulnerable (DEV) so that they can improve their lives and become young adults,
parents and leaders who will bring lasting and positive change in their
communities. More specifically, ChildFund Indonesia supports these children in
their different life stages towards becoming:
- Healthy and Secured Infants – Lifestage 1 (LS 1)
- Educated and Confident Children – Lifestage 2 (LS 2)
- Skilled and Involved Youth – Lifestage 3 (LS 3)
ChildFund is currently seeking:
Position :
Finance Officer
Reporting
to : Country
Finance Manager
Based in :
Jakarta
Duration : 3 months with possibility
extension based on performance
Duties and Responsibilities :
Responsible
and support of accounting activities of the ChildFund in line with the Financial
Management Policies and Procedures of ChildFund.
1.
Verify and ensure all financial transaction are accurate and
correctly recorded in Accounting System on daily basis and ensuring the
compliance with the Financial Management Policies and Procedures;
2.
Review the accuracy and completeness of
financial voucher including supporting documents and coding before approved by
Country Director and proceed for disbursement (for Working Fund and PEF);
3.
Prepare the Journal Entries (e.g:
amortisation/depretiation, accrual, reclass, etc) before closing monthly
General listing;
4.
Review Petty cash voucher and performed cash
count;
5.
Ensure and follow up all the ICJA (Inter
Company Journal Advice) from and to IO are properly recorded and kept;
6.
Review Payroll from HR&Admin before
proceed to Country Director for approval;
7.
Batching and Request approval for e-Banking;
8.
Assist the Finance Manager in Annual Budget
preparation;
9.
Assist ChildFund with the annual audit
exercise for all funds managed by ChildFund and other related funds;
10. Assist
in audit process and prepare all necessary documents requested by internal and
external auditor to ensure timeliness of audit.
Responsible
for providing monthly financial report, budget development and management and financial
analysis
1.
Prepare monthly income
statements, balance sheets, trial balance
and monthly financial backup such as aging analysis, amortization and
depreciation reports for certification by Finance Manager;
2.
Ensure the monthly and yearly financial
reports are being conducted in tie and send to Regional Office and
International Office;
3.
Ensure General Listing are send to Area Finance
Officer, Finance Supervisor and Project Finance Officer for reconciliation
before prepared Project Financial Report;
4.
Ensure the Account code and other codes in
Accounting system are updated and shared with Finance team;
5.
Assist Finance Manager in preparing
necessary financial reports/statements;
6.
Facilitate E-Financial Training for
Finance and Non Finance staff.
7. Remain alert and responsive to any child
safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable you
to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the child safeguarding
policy and procedures, and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the
Child Safeguarding Policy.
8. Other duties as assigned.
Education
§ Bachelor
Degree in Accounting preferably, or, a recognized professional accounting or
finance certification.
Experience
§ At
least five (5) years of experience with proven track record and exposure to
relevant activities dealing with accounting in various international
organizations, related institutions and/or private sector;
§ Proven
knowledge and ability to use applicable computerized accounting systems, Microsoft Office including Excel.
Word and Outlook;
§ Proven
record and knowledge on project accounting that involving analysis of cost
and/or performance data; as well as prepare and/or analyze financial statements;
§ Strong
understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles;
§ Experience
in an organization with UN/EU/USG Grants Standard Provisions and Financial
Requirements preferable;
§ Good
understanding of administrative, financial and general management principles
and skilled in financial reporting, budgeting and taxes;
§ Self-guided,
strong organisation and planning skills;
§ Strong
interpersonal communication skills and ability to establish positive working
relationship;
§ Ability
to work independency, under pressure and meet deadline;
§ Ability
to maintain confidential financial information;
§ Ability
to work as team member / team player.

Businesses expect to employ about the same volume of MBAs this year as last year. Businesses have found employees with bachelor's degrees being able to do some work being done by MBAs.
It will be harder for graduates with computer science degrees to find work.
