Senior Project Officer - Disaster Risk Reduction Program

ROLE PURPOSE :
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES
- Bachelor University Degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- At least 5 years working experience with non-government organizations or development programs, with some of the experiences in managing any Disaster Risk Reduction project
- Excellent written and verbal presentation communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Ability to work fast, effectively and independently in often high-pressure environments, working across number of teams to deliver high communications output
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead project team work as well as to develop and maintain strong relationships project staffs and beneficiaries
- Have knowledge and skills in methods to promote improvement of School Based Disaster Risk Reduction project
- Good understanding on government structure and system, particularly related to education sector
- Good understanding on children issues in Indonesia, ability to work with children with a child friendly and participatory facilitation skill
- Knowledge of project cycle management as well as skills in methods of Monitoring and Evaluation systems
- Proven skills to develop an implementation plan and then efficiently implement the activities
- Demonstrated ability to write high quality reports and other project documents in Bahasa Indonesia and English
- Proven ability to manage financial resources according to donor and organization regulations, and also reporting requirements
- Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural team
- Having experience working in urban-slum area is preferable, particularly familiarity of Greater Jakarta will be an advantage
- Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks
