MADANI-Civil
Society Support Initiative is a five-year USAID-funded project managed by
FHI360. MADANI works to strengthen local government accountability and communal
tolerance in Indonesia by improving and sustaining local civil society’s
capacity, legitimacy and sustainability in 32 districts in the
provinces of Lampung,
West Java, Central Java, East Java, West Nusa Tenggara, Central Kalimantan,
South Sulawesi and Gorontalo. As part of its support to civil
society organizations, MADANI provides capacity building support to civil
society partners in each district.
In preparation for this, FHI 360
is developing a directory of potential capacity building providers who will be
able to deliver capacity building for Indonesian civil society organizations on
topics related to the following areas:
1)
Civil society organizational capacity and management;
2)
Civil society advocacy, awareness raising and community
organizing
3)
Resource mobilization, including with private sector and
government procurement
4)
Collective learning processes and knowledge management
5)
Civic education and leadership training
6)
Critical and creative thinking, complex problem solving,
independent thought and cognitive flexibility
7)
Social accountability in service delivery
8)
Social analysis and evidence-based policymaking
9)
Facilitation, coalition-building and partnership engagement
10)
Local governance and community development
11)
External communications, including social media, marketing and
branding and coordinating with others
12)
Communal tolerance and resilience
MADANI/FHI360 is now seeking
Expressions of Interest from individuals and organizations to be
included in the directory of capacity building providers working in one or more
of the areas and provinces above. Capacity building activities are anticipated
to start in October 2019 and continue till 2022. Capacity building activities
may include training workshops, on-site mentoring and coaching, organizational
assessments, or systems and policy development, primarily in the locations of MADANI
partners.
