Greenpeace Southeast Asia Indonesia is seeking Senior Forest Campaigner

Position Summary

Senior Forest (Market and Political) Campaigner serves as connection between the international forests team working on markets issues and the Jakarta based team. You will lead our corporate engagement with plantation companies in SE Asia, provide input into the markets strategy and help ensure its successful delivery in Indonesia.  You will also keep up to date with relevant political developments that could impact on our palm oil or other markets work and provide advice and input into how we either respond to or make use of these political opportunities.

This is a full time position based in Indonesia working on Forest issues, but with extensive travel and time working alongside team members based in London.

Educational Background & Fundamental Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or  Master Degree would be preferable
• Field of Study International political or forestry or business sciences or law
• Work Experience:    

-       Extensive experience, expertise and knowledge in lobbying  work to influence politician and or industry and experience in high level political negotiations within Indonesia or internationally.

-       Extensive knowledge of experience of working on Indonesian environmental issues, whether in Indonesia or internationally.

-       Extensive experience of working with an international team from different backgrounds and cultures in both English and Bahasa
