The
Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is a Swiss-based
foundation launched at the UN in 2002 to tackle the
human suffering caused by malnutrition. Working in alliances with
government, business, academia, and beneficiaries, we aim to transform
food systems so that they deliver more nutritious and safe food for all
people, especially the most vulnerable.
GAIN’s
Indonesia Postharvest Loss Alliance for Nutrition (IPLAN) project
facilitated the establishment of the Jejaring
Pasca-Panen untuk Gizi Indonesia (JP2GI), based on a decree from the
Director of Community Nutrition, Ministry of Health which mandates
cooperation with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. In
September 2019, JP2GI became a fully independent association
(www.jp2gi.org).
