Under the overall managerial administrative
leadership of the FAO Representative (FAOR) in Indonesia, over-all technical
guidance and supervision from the technical officer in the Investment Centre
(CFI) and with the technical backstopping of the Lead Technical Officer
(LTO), in close collaboration with Ministry of Agriculture, the International
Remote sensing and Data Scientist will:
· Consult regularly with the project team, Ministry of Agriculture, Centre
for Agricultural Data and System Information (CADIS), Strategic Agricultural
Command Centre (KOSTRA TANI), partners of the Agricultural War Room
development;
·
Provide
technical guidance, in consultation with national partners, and through the
national e-agriculture taskforce for the development of the e-agriculture
strategy and action plan;
·
Undertake
a need and gap assessment for the operationalization of the AWR, with focus
on ICT, identifying the challenges and opportunities in deploying ICT
solutions, Big data, for the AWR operationalization throughout the review of
the existing capacities;
·
Provide
technical guidance and inputs for the development of the national
e-agriculture vision document, highlighting the roles of key stakeholders in
supporting the implementation of e-agricultural services and solutions;
·
Provide
technical guidance and inputs for the development of the national
e-agriculture action plan, that provides priority solutions with detailed
information, technical specifications, required resources for the various
national entities to be involved in its implementation;
·
Provide
technical support to the national e-agriculture taskforce presenting the
results from this project including the national e-agriculture vision, action
plan to the various stakeholders to receive inputs and then submit the draft
national e-agriculture strategy to MoA;
·
Contribute
to trainings on targeted technical elements related to e-agriculture
solutions and the operationalization of the AWR. Trainings will include
elements related to ICT development, e-agriculture, standards, ICT solutions,
agricultural data, data integrity, lessons learnt;
·
Contribute
to workshops that focus on building provincial capacities in utilizing FAO
and other digital agriculture systems. The workshop also aims to train
government staff in identifying, developing and maintaining sustainability of
e-agriculture solutions which may be related to ICT, data access,
partnerships, data integrity protocols, standards, land cover/use
representation systems, objectives, targets indicators etc.

Provide
technical guidance to national consultants on developing technical guidance
and standard operating procedures.
