Vacancy at Yayasan KNCV Indonesia: Finance Manager

 

Yayasan KNCV Indonesia is a non-profit organisation that aims to be a strong local and self-sustaining organization dedicated to the fight against tuberculosis (TB) in Indonesia. Yayasan KNCV Indonesia promotes effective, efficient, innovative and sustainable tuberculosis control strategies in Indonesia.  We are an organization of passionate TB professionals, including doctors, researchers, training experts, and epidemiologists. We aim to stop the spread of the TB epidemic and to prevent the further spread of drug-resistant TB.

 

For our new anticipated project, currently Yayasan KNCV Indonesia is looking for a:

Finance Manager

Duty Station: Jakarta

The Finance Manager will focus on providing support in the operational finance and accounting function and responsible to ensure project accountability by monitoring and reviewing all project expenses according to Yayasan KNCV Indonesia regulations and donors’ requirements.

Key Responsibilities include:

1.      Finance and Project Controlling

• Ensure alignment of donor’s Policy and YKI Finance Manual in the finance and accounting practice.
• Checking the availability of budget for all advance and payment request.
• Conduct monthly financial analysis of the balance sheet, income statement, and provide feedback on the overall performance.
• Monitoring project budgets by identifying variances and taking action to ensure 0% overspending and the most effective use of resources.
• Supporting the budget holders to adjust their budgets during forecasting

2.      Financial Reporting & Accounting System

• Proper transaction analyzed by assigning correct account code and budget code with accuracy, adhere with YKI/donor regulations.
• Supervise and ensure financial transaction is accurately recorded, both in YKI accounting software as well as in donor’s accounting system.
• Report on spending vs. budget to budget holders, project leaders and management in figures and narrative with necessary supporting documents.
• Provide reported which accurate, accountable, update & user friendly.
• Monthly book close activities in compliance with YKI/donor requirements.

3.      Financial Management/Operations

• Reduce urgent payment item by ensuring effective business process and flow of work and Finance Staff understanding payment process.
• Supervise and ensure quality of supporting document, i.e. valid receipt, signed contract, purchase order, etc.
• Responsible for financial Induction to new YKI Personnel.
• Regularly communicate with Head of Finance Admin/Operations Director with recommendation if and when any issue/problem arises for any payment transaction.
• Prepare audit requirements and provided to the audit.

Qualifications and Competencies: 

Educational Qualification: 

• University degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration.

Competencies and skills:

• Proven experience in accounting for at least 5 years
• Strong leadership skill
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Taxation (in particular those applicable to NGO) and Audit
• Strong knowledge in Procurement and Logistic system
• Internet application
• Excellent English
• Experience working in Yayasan (local NGO) will be an advantage
