Background 

  

Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an international medical and humanitarian, non-profit organization acting in accordance with the principles of humanitarian assistance, impartiality, neutrality, medical ethics and medical confidentiality, independent from any political, religious, military or economic authority

Objective 


Under the direct supervision of the Health Promotion Manager, and the overall programmatic oversight of the Medical Coordinator of Mission, the incumbent will be responsible for providing technical and strategic support in health promotion for adolescent health program and supporting COVID-19 response in Labuan and Carita, Kab Pandeglang , Banten Province   

  

 

Responsibility 


  • Participating in the creation tools/form and conduct assessment /mapping and regular updating with identification of gaps and advocacy for an improved culturally appropriate social response 
  • Participating in the creation or adopt and maintenance of any material needed for health promotion activities, including IEC materials and training modules consistent with MOH standards and guidelines as well as MSF guidelines and protocol 
  • Coordinate with HP Manager in planning / preparation, organizing and implementing HP activities  
  • Organize, mobilize and facilitate training, health education sessions, workshops or other events involving the partner; also coordinates with local government authorities, other organizations or communities 
  • Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with partner organizations in the program area to ensure continuity of support for the achievement of program objectives 
  • Develop and maintain records, files, and reports on all health promotion activities 
  • Through coordination with the HP Manager, carry out regular collaboration and coordination with the Medical team, Finance, HR/Administration and Logistic; to guarantee that the HP is part of medical activities and contribute to the overall mission objectives 
  • Coordinate and liaise closely with HP Manager and MSF Medical Coordination in all areas of work to ensure smooth implementation of activities and ensure activities conducted are in line with MSF values, principles and operational framework. 
  • In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly. 

  

 

Requirements 

  

  

Education 

Bachelor’s degree in public health, social science or other related discipline 

Experience 

Minimum 4 (four) years of working experience in public health project 

Excellent communication skills 

good critical thinking and creativity 

Have a passion and willingness to work with communities on field 

Languages              

Bahasa and mission language essential. 

Knowledge 

Essential computer literacy (word, excel)
