RFP : Media & Community Engagement Around Vaccines Rollout

 

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL : MEDIA & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AROUND VACCINES ROLLOUT

 

The role
AIHSP is seeking an organisation that will be responsible for engaging the local media and gaining their support for positive publicity related to COVID-19 vaccines roll-out, 3T, and preventive actions in the priority provinces which are Central Java, DI Yogyakarta, Bali and South Sulawesi. Specifically, the objectives of this activity are to:

  1. Provide and leverage scientific-based information related to risk and benefit of COVID-19 vaccines roll-out, 3T and preventive actions
  2. Improve understanding and positive attitude and behavior of the people in the four targeted provinces towards COVID-19 vaccines roll-out, 3T and preventive actions

The preferred supplier will be engaged for a period of up to 12 months, with possible contract extension. The team proposed should at least consist of a project leader, media relations, community management officer, and database management officer.
Specifically, the preferred supplier will:

  • Build positive engagement with media (online, newspaper, radio, and television) at national level and in the four targeted provinces to gain their support. Even though the targeted audiences are the public in the four provinces, national media attention will also be necessary to increase public’s trust.
  • Work with the Provincial Coordinators and other related AIHSP team members to develop:

·       Press releases on the agreed topic for positive publicity in the engaged media

·       Opinion editorial pieces to be pitched to the engaged media in the four targeted provinces

  • Conduct other media activities as relevant and needed such as media/editorial briefing related to the agreed issues in some or all of our targeted provinces.
  • Work closely with the PR team in MOH, Satgas/KPCPEN to ensure consistency and complementarity of public messaging
  • Provide media monitoring services related to distributed press releases and pitched opinion editorials
  • Provide a database manager who will be tasked to compile, collect and manage COVID-19 related information and/or communication materials into an organized and accessible database
  • Provide a community manager who will be tasked to manage the established community network within VAHSI project, and maintain conversation and relationship with the communities, including to engage the community in the media and social media related activities.
  • Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual reports of the implementation and recommendations for future activities.

About the potential suppliers
To ensure the quality of services provided, Suppliers should 1) possess a license to operate in Indonesia, or 2) partner with a company or organisation that has a license to operate in Indonesia. Detailed selection criteria are outlined in the RFP document.
