INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION OFFICER - 1 position based in Jakarta 

CWS/Indonesia www.cws-asia.org is an international relief, development, and refugee assistance agency that has been operating in Indonesia for many years under an agreement with the Ministry of Social Affairs. CWS Indonesia is the field office of CWS, Inc., headquartered in New York. CWS assists the most vulnerable, regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity, or gender. CWS works with partners to eradicate hunger and poverty and to promote peace and justice around the world.  

CWS Indonesia is currently focusing on 3 main program areas: 

  Refugee Protection: supporting around 500 refugees and asylum seeker in Jakarta 

  Humanitarian response and disaster risk reduction / disaster risk management 

  Food Security and Nutrition  

I. THE ROLE: 

The Information and Communication Officer is required to provide high quality information media and publications that speak to results and impact. S/he will work with all project teams to produce high quality communication materials such as success stories and presentations. It also requires experience in communicating about humanitarian response and English writing skills. The position also requires coordination/communication with local counterparts and partner’s staff as well as the publishers and web hosting company. It also requires managerial, administration and documentation skills. An ability to work to tight deadlines and be flexible in working with local counterparts and as part of a “team” is essential.
