NATIONAL PROJECT CONSULTANT FOR PTB PROJECT ON ENVIRONMENTAL AND CLIMATE MONITORING

the national metrology institute of Germany PTB is currently looking for a national project consultant in the field of environmental and climate monitoring located in Jakarta, Indonesia. For more information refer to the ToR in the attachments.

Scope of work
-        Preparation, execution, and follow-up of project activities in coordination with the PTB team
-        Support of project visits, incl. logistics by PTB staff and PTB short-term experts, including preparation and follow up of trainings, awareness events etc.
-        Maintain contact, facilitate collaboration, and provide regular updates to project partners
-        Represent on request PTB in national events and meetings
-        (Occasional) travel within Indonesia and abroad
-        Support of the project coordination (Provision of conceptual and technical input and advice to the project coordinator with respect to the planning, implementation, and strategic orientation of the project)

Qualifications and requirements
-        Master’s degree in a field relevant for the project
-        excellent working knowledge of both English and Bahasa Indonesia. Ability to conduct meetings and write reports in English is a prerequisite
-        very good oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, including experience in cross-cultural environment and international settings
-        demonstrated ability to plan and organize tasks and workflows, with proven ability for working accurately under pressure and to fulfil deadlines
-        demonstrated ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships with stakeholders
-        demonstrated commitment to collaborative work practices
-        Experience in relevant fields of quality infrastructure (metrology, standardization, accreditation and/ or conformity assessment)
-        Ideally prior experience in working with environmental analytical services.

The offered position will be part-time and on a free-lance basis with an initial contract for the duration of four months. It is intended to continue the working relationship for the duration of the project until 2025.
