Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia (YRII) is an independent humanitarian and development organization. YRII, previously Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia as globally with Islamic Relief Worldwide we have been fighting poverty and injustice for 30 years, in a world where more than three billion people still live in poverty

Country Purpose:

Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia has been operating since 2003, and officially became the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia in January 2022. The objective of the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia program is to contribute to the social welfare of the Indonesian people and to alleviate suffering. The main sector for the programme include:

•        Water and Sanitation

•        Sustainable livelihood

•        Education

•        Child Welfare

•        Shelter

•        Disaster Risk Reduction

•        Climate Change

The geographical area: NTB, Aceh, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi and Jakarta Province and will be expanded to all regions of Indonesia according to the development of the organization. The implementation of the program is carried out directly by YRII or through cooperation partners.

Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia is seeking Livelihood and Microfinance Officer based in Palu – Central Sulawesi.

Reporting Line:

Post  holder  would  directly  report  to  Area Coordinator.

Overall Responsibility:

 Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, the Livelihood and Microfinance Officer will provide and support with technical assistance to the local partners in livelihood and microfinance and related sectors. The post holder will support planning, implementation of livelihood and microfinance-related intervention to the local partners adhering to the project focus.  S/he will liaise with project stakeholders (project team,  local government, local partners, volunteers, right holders and etc), In addition, s/he will work closely with local partners,  and meal officers to ensure project deliverables are achieved on scope, time, and budget.

S/He must perform her/his assigned areas with respect to technical assessments, awareness-raising, rights holders profiling, designing and delivering training. The respected position will capacitate the partner staff and volunteers   in undertaking  their duties and assignment  accordingly

 Key Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Provide technical assistance to beneficiaries in business management and finance and linkage to financial institutions for access to finance.

·       Establish and maintenance the cooperative Microfinance Syariah in the target area 

·       Provide advice and support to local partners to implement the microfinance objective of the project by addressing all key aspects, monitoring results, and consulting with relevant stakeholders.

·       Support local partners to arrange training and provide business advisory support on microfinancing In the 3 village target areas (Petobo, Baiya and Balaroa).

·       Track the progress of project implementation on a daily, weekly, and monthly bases and report to Area or Project Coordinator for further review and evaluation

·       Bridge the communication with Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia  partner in the project area

·       Document project learning, meetings, changes, and activity reports undertaken by the project team

·       Assist the data management in Islamic Relief and partners

·       Liaises with partners, GO, and NGOs to exchange knowledge and good practices of Livelihood and microfinancing.

·       Work on AX system to ensure all compliance related to finance, logistics are settled.

·       Prepare any form of a report (weekly, monthly and progress report)

·       Along with partner lead, assess and review the performance of the volunteers and prepare a recommendation for improvement

Skills:

•       Experience and knowledge in livelihood and microfinance with farmers and organized farmer

         groups

•       Has Experience to implementing microfinance Syariah

•       Demonstrated ability to conduct/oversee evaluations, reviews, assessments, etc.

•       Experience in the evaluation of development projects using a range of qualitative and

         quantitative methods.

•       Expertise in Community Engagement is preferred

•       Able to write report quality report supported by data and evidence

•       Project management skill is required

•       Flexible

•       Knowledge and practical understanding of and ability to work within both relief and

         development NGO contexts.

 Requirements:

·       University degree in Development Studies, Economy, Socio-Economic Development, , or another related field

·       Three years minimum experience in livelihoods, microfinance or relevant field.

·       Capacity to work under pressure

·       Computer literate with fluency of using Microsoft Word, Excel, survey tools
