VACANCY USAID IUWASH Tangguh: Several Long Term Positions based in Jakarta

                                                 

 

USAID Indonesia Urban Resilient Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (USAID IUWASH Tangguh) is a five-year Activity to advance Indonesia’s development goals in increasing access to safely managed drinking water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in vulnerable urban areas and strengthening climate-resilient WASH services and water resources management. In close partnership with the Government of Indonesia (GOI), USAID IUWASH Tangguh supports Indonesia’s work to achieve their Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) targets to ensure access to water and sanitation for all (SDG 6) and to make cities and settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable (SDG 11).

 

Using an Integrated Resilient IUWASH Systems (IRIS) approach—which aligns actions and incentives between upstream and downstream actors, while crowding in collaboration with key stakeholders through partnerships that accelerate the enabling environment and key enabling factors, such as finance and data—the USAID IUWASH Tangguh team will provide technical assistance to GOI, private sector and civil society stakeholders to achieve four objectives: 1) Strengthened WASH and WRM Sector Governance and Financing; 2) Increased Access to Poor-Inclusive, Climate-Resilient, Safely Managed Drinking Water and Sanitation Services; 3) Improved Water Resources Management to Support Resilient Drinking Water Services; and 4) Increased Adoption of Behaviors and Improved Women’s Participation and Leadership Roles that Contribute to Improvements of WASH and WRM.

 

To achieve these outcomes USAID IUWASH Tangguh need high caliber candidates to fill the positions of

 

(JOB CODE: LTTA/FAM_JKT)

Finance and Admin Manager: Manage daily programmatic operations including finance, administration, logistics and inventory management. Oversee financial and operational management, ensuring compliance to Project’s Field Operations Manual (FOM), USAID regulations, contract requirements and limitations as well as the Government of Indonesia’s laws, requirements and practices.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. Degree in Business Administration, Finance or other related field.

·       At least (15) years of professional experience, including increasingly responsible operations management experience, preferably with donor-funded organization.

·       Demonstrated experience working with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.

·       Knowledge of USAID rules and regulations preferred.

·       Knowledge of DAI policies, procedures and systems preferred.

·       Advanced skill in excel (able to use macro is preferred)

·       Excellent interpersonal skills, including a track record of successful coordination and effective working relations with a wide range of stakeholders (e.g. vendors, service providers).

·       Demonstrated ability to responsibly and ethically handle sensitive and confidential information.

·       Strong communication skills both written and oral in English

National Coordinator GESI: In the beginning of the project, the candidate will support the development of the USAID IUWASH Tangguh gender mainstreaming strategy and action plan, that upholds USAID gender policies. During the program implementation, the candidate will implement of GESI and inclusion activities across tasks. Endure integration of GESI issues across programs. Support mainstreaming and implementation of IUWASH Tangguh Gender Analysis Report and Gender and Inclusive Action Plan and water sector GESI strategy. Under this task will include the development of system for the consolidation and analysis of sex-disaggregated data and other social inclusion related data and identifying potential socio-economic impacts on project activities. Provide training or guidance to teams in mainstreaming gender and engagement women in technical work and organizing capacity-building interventions for partners on gender policies and other related concerns.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in gender studies, social science, communications, business marketing, business administration, environmental management, or a related field. Master degree in the same subject is preferred.

·       7+ years of experience leading GESI programming in WASH or WRM sector is preferred and contributing to communication and social marketing activities.

·       Experience managing development and implementation of GESI assessments and action plans.

·       Strong multidisciplinary competence combined with substantial experience in developing and applying safeguard policies, social development and related capacity building.

·       Working knowledge of the operations and international development organization and the Indonesian government.

·       An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and appropriate professional image

·       An extremely well organized and self-directed individual with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus

·       Fluency in English is required

Finance Officer: Ensure adherence to financial policies, project policies and procedures, regulations, controls, and reporting systems. The Finance Officer will provide accounting and financial analysis support to the project office and will ensure submission of financial reports based on internal deadlines. Ensure compliance of all accounting and financial reporting functions. Responsible for recording costs and day to day general accounting, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, risk management, managing partner relationships, assuring all backup documentation is audit ready, and troubleshooting accounting issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree accounting, finance, or other related fields; advanced degree in the above listed areas highly preferred.  
  • 10-15 years of relevant working experience.  
  • Computer literacy and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. 
  • Above average skill for excel is a must
  • Experience working with donor-funded programs.  
  • Demonstrated communications, writing, and presentation skills.  
  • Strong teamwork skills, as well as effective cross-cultural interpersonal skills.  

 

Candidates for all positions must have strong communication skills, both interpersonal and written, and advanced degrees (master’s or higher) in relevant areas. Early applicants are encouraged.
