YTS is Looking for an Operations Coordinator

Yayasan Tambuhak Sinta (YTS), a Kalimantan-based foundation head-quartered in Palangka Raya, is striving to improve the quality of governance and well-being in areas affected by mineral development activities, and is working closely with communities, local government and extractive companies to achieve this objective. 

Currently we are looking for a highly-experienced Operations Coordinator to be based in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan. This position will oversee the Operations Unit and be responsible for the smooth running of human resources and administration in YTS; and supervision of personnel related to operations.

The correct individual should have strong time management skills and be a well-organized person.  

Duties and Responsibilities of the Operations Coordinator 

S/He will be responsible to supervise YTS human resources for local employees and expatriates in accordance with respective labour laws, regulations and YTS manuals. This position is also responsible to ensure all legal and regulatory obligations are met and monitor compliance with regulations: registrations, licenses.

This position also will support the Executive Director and Program Unit with project design and development, related to YTS operations. 

This is the background experience and qualities we require

1. Minimum five years’ experience in NGO administration and operations 

2. Understanding of laws and regulations related to NGO operations

3. Understanding of human resources cycle, includes recruitment, job description,  contract and salary scale development, performance appraisal, and staff termination

4. Good analytical and systematic

5. Potential management and leadership skills

6. Excellent computer skills – word processing, spreadsheet, internet

7. University degree in a relevant subject

8. Good language (verbal and written communication) skills – Bahasa Indonesia, English, and Dayak are preferable. 

9. Prior work experience in a multicultural setting

10. Good team working skills
