URGENTLY REQUIRED_COMMUNICATION & CAMPAIGN STAFF

Institute for Policy Research and Advocacy (ELSAM), established in August 1993 in Jakarta, is a policy advocacy organisation with limited association as its legal entity. To actively participate in the efforts to develop, promote and protect civil and political rights and other human rights, as mandated by the 1945 Constitution and Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), has become ELSAM’s ‘driving’ objective. From the outset, ELSAM has committed itself to developing a democratic political order in Indonesia by empowering civil society through advocacy and promoting human rights.

Currently, ELSAM is looking for a professional, highly motivated person who is able to work individually and as part of the team under different circumstances to join us as:

 

Communication and Campaign Staff

 

The qualifications for the Communication and Campaign Staff are:

 

1.     Bachelor Degree of any majors, preferably Communication.

2.     Adequate knowledge on public issues and policy making processes, particularly in the context of human rights, and revamping them into attractive campaigns.

3.     At least 2 years experience as a campaigner with portfolios or campaign products.

4.     Experience in managing and developing the usability of various social media platforms for public campaigns.

5.     Experience in managing and updating websites as a communication and knowledge platform.

6.     Experiences in managing and organising activities to develop the communication strategy, such as creating podcast videos etc.

7.     Having competence in writing with clear sentence structure in the form of feature or in-depth.    

8.     Fluency in English both oral and written is a must.

9.     Being able to work with less supervision, and under pressure.

10.  Having good communication skills, good personality and positive attitude.

11.  Being open-minded and able to accept diversity and inclusivity.

12.  Having passion in working in NGO and social activism, highly dedicated and willing to work long term to contribute in organizational development.
