in Indonesia. Yayasan WWF Indonesia, an independent national
conservation organization, is part of a global network of WWF. Yayasan
WWF Indonesia is currently seeking the best candidate for the Project Leader for Lesser Sunda Seascape position. This position will be based in Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Timur, and report directly to the Marine Biodiversity Conservation Program Manager.
This
position is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the
implementation of various projects and programmatic schemes of
WWF-Indonesia Marine & Fisheries Division in the Lesser Sunda
Seascape area, which consists of the main elements: Marine Protected
Area (MPA), Sustainable Fisheries, ETP Marine Species, and Responsible
Marine Tourism. This position is also responsible for managing the
WWF-Indonesia internal team in the Lesser Sunda Seascape area,
establishing effective working relationships with the WWF-Indonesia
Marine & Fisheries Division and across relevant WWF-Indonesia
divisions, as well as being a WWF-Indonesia representative in build and
maintain cooperative relationships with external partners related to the
advocacy process needed in the Lesser Sunda Seascape area. This
position also contributes to various relevant fundraising schemes in the
Lesser Sunda Seascape.
Requirements for this position are:
- At least a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Fisheries, Marine science, environment, or Conservation science, a master's is preferred
- Minimum 8 – 10 years experience for bachelor, or 5-8 years’ experience for master, on conservation work with 3 years of experience at the managerial level.
- Good crisis management skills to handle pressure from project challenges.
- Good writing, research, and analytical skills are preferred.
- National and international environmental and social safeguard.
- Strong data analytical skills.
- Must be able to handle a wide work variety and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Fluency in English is very important.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team and ability to work proactively.
- Have sufficient knowledge of certain sustainable finance tools.
