Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia (YRII) is an independent humanitarian and development organization. YRII, previously Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia as globally with Islamic Relief Worldwide we have been fighting poverty and injustice for 30 years, in a world where more than three billion people still live in poverty

Country Purpose:

Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia has been operating since 2003, and officially became the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia in January 2022. The objective of the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia program is to contribute to the social welfare of the Indonesian people and to alleviate suffering. The main sector for the programme include:

•        Water and Sanitation

•        Sustainable livelihood

•        Education

•        Child Welfare

•        Shelter

•        Disaster Risk Reduction

•        Climate Change

The geographical area: NTB, Aceh, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi and Jakarta Province and will be expanded to all regions of Indonesia according to the development of the organization. The implementation of the program is carried out directly by YRII or through cooperation partners.

Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia is seeking Liaison and Advocacy Officer based in Lombok - Indonesia.

Reporting Line:

Post holder would directly report to Area Coordinator.

Overall Responsibility:

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Area Coordinator, the Liaison and Advocacy Officer will lead the public relation, communication, and coordination with local government, clusters, and community leaders in West Nusa Tenggara to ensure the presence   of IR Indonesia in the West Nusa Tenggara is well accepted and comply with local norms, customs and values. The post holder will give inputs to Area Coordinator and the area team for better implementation in regard with method of community engagement, stakeholder analyses and partnership with local actors. He/She must perform his/her assigned areas with respect to technical assessments, awareness raising, beneficiary profiling and government profiling.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Lead the communication with the local government, Community leaders, and other local actors.

·         Lead dialogue and consultation with surrounding community members.

·         Maintain liaison with other partners, GO and NGOs for collecting/sharing information in the assigned area.

·         Strong negotiation, coordination, communication skills with ability to perform multiple task

·         Have ability to advocate on behalf of the organization.

·         Prepare minutes and reports resulted from coordination.   

·         Undertake other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the management.

·         Build communication to effectively maintain and monitor collaborative effort in Provincial and district level, efforts of civil society in promoting project activities in West Nusa Tenggara.

Skills:

·       Demonstrated excellence level of verbal and written communication skills.

·       Able to write report in English with minimum revision/edit.

·       Flexible.

·       Knowledge and practical understanding of and ability to work within both relief and development NGO contexts and government bodies.

·       Good knowledge and understanding of government policies and regulation related on project activities.

Requirements:

·         Relevant education background in social development, management and related studies.

·         1-2 years minimum experience in relevant field.

·         Capacity to work under pressure.

·         Computer literate with fluency of using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

·         Experience of communicating with district & village government, organizations and communities.
