part of a global network of WWF. Yayasan WWF Indonesia is currently
seeking the best candidate for the Communication & Learning Center Coordinator position. This position will be based in Jayapura, Papua, and report directly to the Papua Program Manager.
This position will support the Forest & Wildlife Program of Yayasan WWF Indonesia in Papua. In
carrying out the duties, this position holder plays a role in defining,
designing, and implementing communication, marketing, and education
plans through campaign activities and community outreach activities as
well as coordinating these activities via the optimal use of the Holey
Narey Learning Center and its associated field, nature, and jungle
schools for the WWF-Indonesia Papua Program. These activities will
be carried out in accordance with WWF-Indonesia policies and procedures
in order to contribute to WWF-Indonesia and ensure stakeholders obtain
information related to projects and programs accurately. In
addition, developing training and learning programs for the younger
generation, and the community, preparing learning frameworks, monitoring
and evaluating changes in mindset and behavior from projects, convening
relevant stakeholders, campaigning for learning from WWF Indonesia to
other parties in disseminating the approach used by WWF Indonesia in
supporting conservation efforts, and preparing conservation “champions”
and future leaders who have insights into inclusive conservation,
climate change, and sustainable development in Tanah Papua.
Requirements for this position are:
- Minimum bachelor's degree (S1) or equivalent majoring in Communication and Journalism.
- 4-6 years (for Bachelors's) of experience or 3 years experience (for Master's) in the field of public communication and marketing.
- Have a good understanding of public relations and mass communication.
- Have a good leadership spirit
- Able to use Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Responsible, honest, and conscientious at work
- Able to work in a team or individually
- Able to use computers, design applications, or edit videos/images.
- Should have a genuine interest in conservation and the work of WWF and be able to clearly demonstrate behaviors aligned to our values: Courage, Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration; and culture within WWF: Strive for Impact, Listen Deeply, Collaborate Openly, and Innovate Fearlessly.
