Yayasan Tambuhak Sinta (YTS), is looking for an expert in Dayak culture to conduct an in-depth survey on Dayak Culture in Gunung Mas and Katingan Regencies, with the objective of providing recommendations for how YTS can contribute to rejuvenating and strengthening Dayak culture in these two districts.
Cultural development is part of a holistic development framework we follow that includes Health, Education, Livelihood, Infrastructure and Governance. Our overall objective is to empower communities to self-govern well and to manage their development in a fair, equitable and inclusive manner. We see Culture as an essential, cross-cutting element for achieving this objective.
We expect the right person for this assignment to have the following qualifications:
· Knowledgeable and experienced with Dayak culture in these geographic areas
· Experienced researcher able to develop and apply appropriate research tools
· Excellent communications skills in Dayak, Bahasa Indonesia and English
· Logical and analytical thinker, able to synthesize research data and write in a clear and understandable manner
This assignment will span 6 months and is expected to start in early November. A comprehensive ToR is available upon request.
