FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

BaKTI was launched in September 2004 as the knowledge exchange unit of the multi-donor Support Office for Eastern Indonesia (SOfEI) and was administered by the World Bank through various single donor and multi-donor trust fund arrangements. On 24 August 2009, in order to strengthen local ownership and for future sustainability, BaKTI established itself as a Foundation (Yayasan Bursa Pengetahuan Kawasan Timur Indonesia or Yayasan BaKTI) under Indonesian law. The official launch of Yayasan BaKTI took place on 8 February 2010.

BaKTI’s goal is ‘improved development in eastern Indonesia’, and it aims to support development actors to achieve this broad goal through a focus on four specific objectives:


i.    Increased collaboration and coordination in development efforts
ii.    Increased knowledge exchange and adoption of good practices
iii.    Increased opportunities to influence broader development agendas
iv.    Local initiatives piloted, expanded and replicated in eastern Indonesia

To offer better support for the BaKTI program, BaKTI will recruit FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION OFFICER (Local Hire) to focus on implemantation of finance and administration process also its strategy which will be used in daily basis.

Role of works:

1. To provide monthly cash summary, bank reconciliations, general ledger reports and other reports as required.
2. Assist the Operation Manager to create, configure, and maintain field accounting systems, forms, and software,including the development, testing and fine tuning of the automated ACCPAC interface system for capturing datainto the ACCPAC system.
3. Assist the Operation Manager provide monthly/quarterly project specific financial reports for donors and themonthly reports to Director Executive, including ensuring that the reporting module in ACCPAC is configured to generate the required reports. The Finance & Accounting Officer, where necessary, will assist the OperationManager design/write these reports in the ACCPAC Report Writer module.

4. Work closely with the Operation Manager and Director Executive to ensure that systems and reports are compliant, including the timely and accurate generation of ad hoc reports that donors and management may require from time.

Qualification:

1. Minimum Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Economic
2. At least five years working experience in Finance
3. At least three years working experience in Administration
4. Ability to work with computers and in particular Microsoft Office (excel and word)
5. Good communication in Indonesian and English, both spoken and written
6. At least three years experience working with international and local Non Government Organizations
7. Initiative, working under pressure and good motivation
8. Having ability to supervise staff.
