Mother and Child Health Specialist - JV/02/HR/III/11

IBU Foundation are currently seek candidate to fill position below:

Mother and Child Health (MCH) Specialist (Based in Cianjur, West Java) :

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Programmatic management:

· With relevant resources and consultants design an end line survey for the MCH-related indicators listed in the log-frame; done in collaboration with other team members as needed
· facilitating Posyandu development by providing couching, regular monitoring & evaluation of Posyandu
cadres and other relevant stakeholders
· attending weekly meetings with the team and contributing on building the meeting result as weekly project reports
· organize coaching for community mobilizers on MCH issues as necessary
· participate in the team programmatic development through regular meeting or dedicated meetings and training

2. Advocacy

· Campaigning MCH development needs in the communities to relevant stakeholders, as mapped by the project coordinator and community mobilizers
· Facilitating discussion with relevant government officials on MCH development and project impact sustainability
· Any other relevant advocacy activities as agreed by the project team, Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director and program development manager

3. Reporting, Monitoring and Evaluation

· Building MCH activity reports
· Actively involved in the monitoring and evaluation (monev) initiative done by monitoring and evaluation manager, and the project team
· Providing inputs to project coordinator on MCH indicators achievement in timely manner
· Providing inputs to project coordinator to build the programmatic report

· Presentation skills in bahasa indonesia and prefreably sundanese
· Writing report skill
· Skill on assessment method and its tools; it might include social analysis skill
· Skill on standard computer office application (ms office and prefrably open office)

Knowledge Competencies:

· Intermediate to advanced knowledge on Child’s Right Convention and its supporting instrume
· Basic to intermediate knowledge on Early Childhood Development concept and theory.
·Some knowledge on humanitarian and development field as well as stakeholders.
· Advanced knowledge on mother and children health, posyandu system & standard, and the relevant national and district’s regulations.
·Advanced knowledge on health promotion strategy

Recruitment Qualifications

Education: Medical doctor. Some experience in mother and children health paired with posyandu development facilitation might replace the requirement of educational background.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in MCH program within the context of either in emergency or rural development. The experience is preferably include experience in policy advocacy. A more than 5 years relevant experience is required for candidates with no health study background.

Language Requirements: Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia, sundaness would be an asset.
