Position Description
Main task of this position will be to support the framework of strengthening private sector advocacy in TVET by building networks between local training providers and companies in need for qualified personnel. The long-term cooperation with a development agency requires regular proposal writing and independent management of projects and budgets. In addition, strategies have to be developed and implemented to transform and transfer German standards of education to Indonesia. Therefore EKONID's strong bonds with the German Chambers of Commerce can be utilized. You will be directly supported by your small team of local experts and have access to all cross-divisional services.
Equally important is the support of the ongoing EU-Switch Asia Project "Encouraging and Implementing Sustainable Production and Consumption of Eco-Friendly Batik in Indonesia and Malaysia". Within this project, all training related tasks in Indonesia will be managed by the Training and Education Manager. Handling all EKONID related training tasks will complete the position.
Skills
Besides your graduate degree in fields such as training and development, TVET or human resources management, you posses at least 5 years of successful experience as Education-Professional with the emphasis on training and workshop development, general education matters and project management.
Furthermore you provide excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. You are able to adapt quickly to situations as they arise and you have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. While you are able to work on different tasks simultaneously, you also ensure projects meet objectives, deadlines and budget restrictions. Your willingness to travel within Indonesia and your fluent command of the English language are a necessity to fulfil the job successfully.
